“The house is lovely with amazing outdoor space. The pictures don't really do it justice. All the living areas are very large and comfortable. The bedrooms, beds and linen are also of a high standard. Parts of the house are old so it can be a bit creaky and noisy in places. We were there on a particularly windy weekend and the rattling gutters made quite a noise! The kitchen is well stocked with plates, pans and glasses and there are essentials like cleaning products, tea, coffee and condiments which is great to have. The overall cleanliness is good but it is lived-in so not in pristine condition. The hot tub is lovely and the kids loved the trampoline. Shipston-on-Stour is a 1 mile walk away but you wouldn't really want to walk it with little kids or with a pram. The village itself is very nice. We would definitely stay again.”

“Beautiful house with huge family rooms and wonderful gardens: we hardly saw our 12, 11, 10 And 9yr.old children as they were busy on the tennis court, trampoline or den building in the grounds. Halloween excitement around the barbecue; log fires and jigsaws, suppers around the enormous dining table, choosing a book from extensive library, snuggly beds and all beautifully clean.”

“Very well equipped and spacious/characterful house with fabulous grounds and swimming pool - truly a place to relax and enjoy. The only issue for us was the traffic noise - we could hear the main A road (the Moreton to Stratford road) traffic very clearly at times and the rush hour traffic along the road on which the house sits was much more than anticipated (6am to 8.45 am and 4- 6.30 p.m. - the road is a cut through. SO that traffic noise did disrupt the peaceful location described. We are not used to traffic noise where we live which probably made it worse - it was just a bit annoying to be woken at 6a.m. every day on hols. BUT we did "zone" the noise out and still loved the house.”

“Fantastic week at Hill House. Highlights were the pool, Tennis court, table tennis, pool table, hot tub, and all the facilities in the house. We visited surrounding places of interest and had a wonderful time all week. Upkeep of the property was amazing and any problems were soon sorted. Many thanks.”

“This is a beautiful house with excellent facilities in a lovely part of the country. The house however in general is in need of repairs and decoration. Doors didnt shut, window catches missing, beading from windows coming off, stains on some celings in rooms, toaster not working correctly, no hot water in one bathroom”

““We had a wonderful family weekend, celebrating our daughters 30th Birthday. Hill House was perfect. We found the staff at Kate and Toms to be more then helpful and we had a fantastic Saturday evening, when James Benson and his team provided a superb meal. But ultimately it was the quality of the service and property that made the weekend perfect. A special thank you, goes to the Handy man of Hill House, who miraculously found my husbands wedding ring on the driveway. We hope to have another reason to visit the Cotswolds in the future and wouldn't hesitate contacting Kate and Toms, hopefully to stay at Hill House again..." Sally”

“We had a fabulous time at Hill House. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much to Alison the Housekeeper who found a lost much loved cuddly turtle belonging to my Granddaughter and returned it safely back home by recorded delivery. We will definitely be returning.”
