“Beautiful house. Exactly what we were expecting. Just one area that let it down was the bathrooms. Only one shower in the house and that shower was either cold or burning hot. We had to take it in turns as it's awkward to wash long hair in the bath. That detracted from the feeling of luxury in the rest of the house. Minor comments but worth saying are lack of lighting in the main kitchen, no sharp knives and no scissors. We got the impression most visitors don't cook!”

“Elephant & Castle was absolutely perfect for our hen party. The decor is impeccable, loads of really interesting pieces and everything is of such high quality. Having two kitchens was invaluable with 18 of us - meant that we could cook and stick everything through the dishwashers so easily so there was no clutter anywhere. We had a chef come in and cook for us one of the night, and she had plenty of room to do her thing and for us to navigate round her whilst getting drinks from the two massive fridges in the pantry. There was loads of glasses and crockery, a welcome basket with bread, eggs, milk, butter etc and there was plenty of tea and coffee (proper coffee). It was so well equipped. The hot tub was great, really added an extra feel of luxury to the house, and was located just out the door next to the bar, so was a great part area. The owner was lovely, really helpful with tips on where to go for drinks etc in Birmingham and locally. The housekeepers who live in a cottage on site were really nice and helpful too, and very respectful of our privacy. The only downfall was the bathrooms - all beautiful and spacious, however there is only with a 1 shower, and that didn't seem to work when other water was running in another bathroom. So we had to hold shower heads over us in whilst sitting in the bath, and encountered spells of cold water. I think if this could be sorted out it would actually be the dream house! Overall we had a massively enjoyable stay, I couldn't recommend this place enough if there's a big group of you.”

“Elephant and castle was a beautiful house for my sisters hen. John and Evelyn were very welcoming and gave us a thorough tour when we arrived. The bar area and huge lounge area was more than comfortable for all of us.”

“Elephant and castle is an amazing property and the pictures really don't do it justice. All 14 of us had a great time and not at any stage did we feel crowded - there's so much space!! Would book to stay again in a heartbeat!!”

“EXCELLENT! A perfect venue for my sisters hen do - from photos & discussions with Kate & Tom's I had high expectations of Elephant & Castle but these were exceeded - by far! The layout works really well for a big group, the standard of cleanliness was superb (it felt as though we were the first people to rent it!), the house is really well equipped & the weather allowed us to make full use of the grounds & hot tub. I would highly recommend Elephant & Castle (& there may well be some repeat bookings from a number of our party!)”

“Elephant & Castle is a lovely property in a beautiful setting. The interior is as in the photos and there was plenty of room for 14 of us. We had everything we could possibly need for our stay and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely return for another stay here in the future. The village is lovely too, perfect for local walks, though we mainly just stayed in the property.”
