I have a lot of fine hair and I'm thrilled to have found this product, having been searching for a replacement for Redken's (now discontinued!) No. 6 Thickening Lotion, which I'd been using for over 35 years, from when it was previously branded as "Fat Cat". I've tried Redken No. 10 Guts Mousse, Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray, Aveda Thickening Tonic and Paul Mitchell Extra Body Thicken Up, and none of them seem to make my hair thicker at all - they just don't seem to get into the hair shaft and swell each strand from within, but Osmo's thickening creme does and it's really easy to use. I have a chin-length, high-lighted bob, which I rough dry with a hair-drier to about 85-90% dry. I then put a good dollop of this cream into the centre of one palm and rub my palms together - this warms the product and liquifies it so it's easy to smooth over the hair before combing through to ensure a good distribution of the cream (and wets the hair again, which is why it's good to rough dry it in the first place). Whilst your hair is still wet with the product it can be a little stiff to blow- dry, but this stiffness totally disappears once dry (even if you let it dry naturally). I section my hair with clips when blow-drying, which makes it easier, as one section is smooth and pliable before moving on to the next section. On a final positive note, Osmo EV Thickening Creme is about a fifth of the price of the discontinued Redken product. Happy Customer and I'll be ordering more!

This thickening cream works well and really boosts my fine hair. It feels thicker and not scrunchy like some products leave the hair, which I hate. After washing, the instructions advise partly drying the hair, which I find makes mine a bit more difficult to style but, maybe, I’ve dried it too much. It’s also excellent for re-styling, when my hair has flopped during the day and gives it a huge boost.
