No mini quarters required. The mini cabinets are dialed in. Just like the real thing. Attention to detail is spot on. It's the closest thing to having the real thing. Game play is accurate. I treasure my mini arcades. I'm a child of the 80's and I only wish there were more 1/4 arcades in the pipe like Kung Fu Master, Popeye, Golden Axe, Super Off Road, Donkey Kong Jr. Sinistar and so many more. I'd get them too if they were available.

This is a unique piece of 80s nerd-obilia that I just couldn't pass up, especially since American Girl had begun to offer the Pac Man version of this arcade cabinet in their stores, to go with their 80s doll Courtney. But my Courtney is more of a Ms. Pac Man fan. The size is great for an 18" doll and works even better for 16" dolls. It's also a great toy to just have on your desk or shelves as a conversation piece. The gameplay is just like I remembered from the real cabinets back in the 80s - even the start-up screen. Pretty expensive but definitely one-of-a-kind.
