“The balls are thin and feel on the lightweight side. They remind me of Engage balls in how they play. Decent bounce. Really seem designed for outdoor play, although I guess you could use them indoors as advertised. They hold up well. They get blown around in the wind fairly easily, which is true of most balls. If the price is good, why not?”
“My normal ball is the Franklin X-40. The Joola ball plays about as well. The weight on the Joola ball feels a little lighter but I didn't weigh them. I may do that. They bounce about the same and sound about the same. But something does feel different. I can't put my finger on it. It may be slightly thinner. If all I had was the Joola ball to play with I would be just as happy as I am with the Franklin. Joola is really doing a good job breaking into the pickleball world. I love their paddles.”
“The pickleballs claim to be indoor/outdoor, but the hole pattern is consistent with outside balls. Indoor balls have larger holes with more space between them. The balls feel a little lighter weight than some of the popular brands, but they seem to be good quality and were nice to hit. There was no warbling, and they flew well. Can't speak to their longevity, but they seem to be holding up well so far.”
“These are some pretty good quality pickleballs. They have a nice bounce and just feel like they are quality made. I'm just a recreational player, but these are great for that purpose. I didn't put them on the scales and measure them, but they seem to be the same dimensions as other pickleballs I have. They are one piece, which is nice. Some of the cheaper ones I've bought are two halves fused together. These should last quite a while and I'm really happy with them.”
“The specs for the Joola pickleball are exactly the same as the Franklin Sports X-40, which is used at our club. Approved by the USAPA, 40 holes, 74 mm diameter, 26 gram weight, one piece construction with no seam and polyethylene material. Since I live in a very hot climate, 107 today, and my partner cannot play, I’m going to wait on my play review until it’s cooler. I have bounced the ball on my paddle and hit a few serves in my backyard. So far the balls feel good to me.”
“This is a solid ball from a reputable pickleball brand. I'm impressed by its design. However, I believe that money could be better used towards making the packaging a reusable case for carrying around the pickleballs and not just nice to look at packaging. Some people I play with question whether or not its bounce is typical or too soft, I tell them it's certified by the Pickleball leagues so there should really be no concern. But for that, I'm going to have to ding it since-- it should go without question that these balls feel right. I personally think they are solid and most newcomers to the game wouldn't even notice.”
