This is my fifth paddle I bought and I absolutely love it!!My first Joola paddle and I am sticking with them, as they are the best. At least for me.I have 3 Diadem paddles which don’t even come close to this one. Treat yourself for the best.

Enjoyed using this paddle. Ultimately I ended up with the elongated perseus paddle instead, but they all use the same technology. It's definitely a premium paddle, and certainly comes with an absolutely premium price point, but if youre looking to take your game to the next level, look no where else. These are also a major hit on the pickleball courts, feel like everyone nowadays has a Joola.....for better or worse. There's certainly better padels out there for less money, but they're much less known and much harder to find/get.

This is a new line of paddles from Joola. It has been highly anticipated along with Joola's new companion Perseus line. The 16mm paddle is named after Ben Johns, the 14mm after Anna Bright. The Scorpeus is a little shorter and wider than the Perseus.Traits of this 14mm Perseus:Carbon surface gives great feedbackReactive polymer core increases sweet spotHyperfoam edgewall, same as on the original Hyperion, is a foam injection into the edgewall that helps dampen off-center hitsSlightly longer grip than many paddles for two-handed backhandThermoformedBigger sweet spot, closer to your handGreat for reset in transition to defenseGreat controlGood spin and powerConsistency is great with large sweet spotThis is a superb new paddle. The Scorpeus is shorter and wider than the Perseus. It's better for control. The 14mm Scorpeus is meant for those who rely on power and spin.

This is the nicest Pickleball paddle I have ever used!!! I never thought the paddle made such a big difference, but it totally does. Now … it didn’t turn me into this awesome Pickleball player or anything but my play just feels way better!!!! The paddle makes a HUGE difference. I love this thing!

This is clearly a high performance high quality racket. It is extremely light and has a balanced feel in the hand. It feels like an extension of your hand. I can see why this is sponsored by a major pro. This is a racket that can be enjoyed by both men and women pickleball players. I did not like that this goes not come with a case and is very pricey at $249 dollars day of review. However, if you are a professional or a competitive pickleball player I would say this is a great choice.

I’m still a beginner at pickleball (though I did play badminton competitively when I was younger), so my input will be more limited. I’ve tried a few paddles at this point, and this one is far and beyond my favorite. It feels much better balanced for my hand/wrist than the previous paddles I’ve used, at about the same weight. I can get a lot of power out of this (more, in some ways, than another paddle I tried which was calibrated for power), because of the way it’s balanced. Again, my experience is pretty limited. But I think I would have skipped the previous paddles I tried and gone directly with this one, given the choice.

This is easily one of the best paddles I've used out of around 20 different ones. That is somewhat surprising because I tend to like the more elongated paddles more than the shorter, wider ones like this. I almost just stuck with the Joola Scorpeus and didn't bother ordering this one but am glad I did.It feels like this paddle has a bigger and better sweet spot than the Perseus. The handle on this paddle is a bit shorter (but just barely) on this paddle than the Perseus. A shorter handle is also something I don't generally tend to go for but for whatever reason I was able to play really well from the first hit with this paddle. The carbon surface on this paddle facilitates putting an excellent spin on the ball. Other Joola paddles like the Hyperion series I've use in the past tend to see the grit on the surface wear off pretty quickly. Time will tell if that is the case for this paddle.Overall, I'd call this an outstanding paddle. It far surpassed my expectations since it's not even really the shape I like to and tend to play with. The new color scheme Joola has introduced with these paddles may or may not be to your liking but the gray handles help to hide the dirt that tends to show on the Hyperion paddles with the white handles. It seems crazy to spend $250 on a high end paddle and not even receive a cover with it but Joola seems to offer most of its products that way. It is an excellent paddle but at $250 it would only be a strong buy for you if you get a chance to try it first. There are plenty of great paddles that can be had for $250 or less. Before dishing out that kind of cash for this, you'd probably do well to sample a few different paddles in this price range.

My wife and I play pickleball together. I played a lot of tennis and racquetball when I was younger, but my wife never played any paddle or racquet sports. So pickleball is new to her. She's just getting the hang of having the paddle feel like an extension of her arm. This is where this paddle comes in perfectly. The extra wide, oversized face of this paddle, in addition to all the other wonderful attributes of a Joola paddle, makes this a perfect encouragement for my wife to play pickleball. She's hitting the ball harder and with more top spin. She also has more shots in the sweet spot and gets more control on finesse type shots in the kitchen.
