“Excellent balanced paddle allows you to have quick hand movements without sacrificing power or control. This is a pretty well balanced paddle. I'd recommend this for small people, women or anyone that's looking for a lightweight paddle to give you the upper hand in NVZ battles. I'd consider this a medium control paddle. A new player who's looking for a ton of control may not want this but intermediate or advanced players who need more speed should give it a try. Also, I've been using it 3 months now and it's holding up very well.**Edit, after having this paddle for 6 months playing 3-4x week for 2 hrs a session, the edge guard has separated from the face of the paddle. Joola's warranty is only for 6 months so I'm out of luck. It literally started coming apart right at the end of the warranty so I can see why they're only giving you 6 months. For a premium priced paddle, I expect more. I have now purchased a Selkirk which has a lifetime warranty and is generally known in the pickleball community as having a great warranty with great customer support. I will not purchase another Joola product until they fix their quality and warranty issue.**”
“Having the right gear is so important. We knew we were doing when we got into Pickleball, so we got the paddles the bag, the balls, and even the shoes. We had such a great time, and our friends want to join us. You’re not just buying a paddle you are buying enjoyment with friends and family. This paddle was perfect for my wife. she loved how light it was and how easy it was to control the ball.”
“This is a fantastic paddle and one of several Joola paddles I've ordered. Got this one for my mother and the Ben Johns model for myself and both are remarkably good paddles. The Scorpeus is made of quality materials with a durable and rugged edge that prevents damage from falls and hits to the frame. Nice wide surface area that is slightly tacky and offers a decent amount of spin, control and power. The handle is comfortable for her and perhaps slightly longer than others she has used but not quite as long as handles for larger hands would be. There is no doubt that this is an endgame paddle, since there isn't much more you could upgrade. Great paddle especially if you are serious about the game and want something responsive and accurate.”
“It’s such a shame. I truly like the Joola paddles. Both my wife and I use their paddles, but when purchasing through Amazon, I continue to receive clearly used or demo paddles. Joola can and should do a much better job with quality control prior to shipping out paddles especially at $250 per paddle. Do better.”
“Bought this paddle for myself after buying one for my brother. My brother is a 3.0 and he loves it. Personally I’m not a big fan. I got it today and I tested it today.First spin- paddle does have good spin for a Pickleball paddle but it can be better. So 3/5Price- fairly pricey but this is a great price range 3/5Tape- the grip of this paddle was absolutely horrendous. The grip was super smooth and uncomfortable making it difficult to pull of certain powder play. It was so bad that I ended up changing the grip tape to something better. 1/5Power- great power, especially if you the sweet spot but the paddle I got was defective cause in the middle of the paddle there was so many dead spots that it became unplayable. My brothers did not have it so I assume it’s a quality control issue. So 1/5 for quality 3/5 for powerFinal verdict 2 stars. My brother loves it so bump it up a starI ended up returning it same day. It sucks cause I already wrapped it but the dead spot was so bad that I just couldn’t keep it.I’ll stick with my Selkirk.”
“Built like a tank. Great edges, fantastic tack on the faces, amazing feeling handle. All around a winner. Lighter than I ever imagined too. You can move so quick with this paddle. I love it.”
