“Reasonably priced set to get started. I am a long time tennis player and wanted to try playing some pickle ball with friends during my vacation in Hawaii.”
“As a pickleball newbie, this was perfect! Comfortable to hold, lightweight, and quality seems good. Hits feel consistent, and experienced players who used it for a set didn't complain either :) Having paddles, balls, and carry case is super handy for tossing in a gym bag or back seat. I'm no expert, but so far really happy with this set on both indoor and outdoor courts.”
“First off, I did not know anything about playing pickleball. A new pickleball court was put up in our county and I was eager to try it out. I ordered this set to give it a try and I am glad I did. The paddles are light weight and the handle has a very good grip on it. The balls are vey light but yet have a very good bounce on them. The bag is of good quality and holds the paddles and balls together compactly. The bag has a small outside mesh compartment that is just right to hold keys or any small objects. I am looking forward to spending more time playing Pickleball with this set. I would recommend this to anyone starting Pickleball.”
“This is a classy set that is super giftable, especially with the holidays rolling around. Pickle ball is having a moment right now--it is super popular--so this would be a GREAT gift for a friend or family member. This set is very impressive. The paddles are lightweight and the balls fit neatly in the bag. It's got a perfect carrying case, so you've got everything you need in a neat little package. My family has loved these paddles and are excited to continue using them. So far, we are impressed!”
“My wife and I have talked about trying pickleball for a while. Talked. Lol. But, when the folks in charge of our local park put up nets and put down lines in the winter outdoor hockey rink last summer, we decided to stop talking about it and get in the game. This kit is perfect. At least for someone who knows nothing about pickleball. The paddles are light yet responsive, the handles are easy to keep a grip on, and the balls do what balls do. I've got no complaints. Except that my wife is apparently better at pickleball than me.Combined with a nice bag for carrying the gear around, this set seems like a great way to get started in the game.”
“I coach beginner Pickleball, and when people ask for paddle recommendation, this set is one of the sets that always recommend. The most important reason is the paddle is very good. It is targeted at 8 oz which is a medium to slightly heavy weight. The grip size is on the smaller side, which means smaller hands can play with ease. These paddle has the "Ridge Grip" feature, like other higher end Joola paddles. I am a fan of the ridge grip as it helps me locate the handle in my hand. The surface of the paddle is smooth, like most beginner paddles. You are not going to get a lot of spin out of them. For beginner I normally advice against spending too much time on spins anyway. The power / pop of the paddle is surprisingly good. It is not a thick paddle. Paddle feel is average, making this a all around paddle which is good for a beginner. The set is of great value since it comes with a very nice case and indoor and outdoor balls. Two friends can get one set and each take one of the paddle. This paddle is good enough for pure beginner right up to 3.0 play. As you get better, you can experiment with different paddle setups: handle length, power vs control, etc. Until then, this is a good set.”
