“This is a very nice pickleball paddle. It is well made, light in the hand, and very responsive. The paddle surface is smooth, lacking grip that some offer. It still allows good feedback to the ball and I have enough control to direct my returns but not as much spin as I would like.Overall the paddle doesn't feel any better than a set of paddles I got for the same price. I don't know that this justifies the high price tag, but it is a very nice paddle and does out perform basic entry level paddles just higher priced than I feel it should be.”
“There is no doubt when you pick this paddle up - this is pure performance and quality. It's got the Joola name which is synonymous with racquet sports (pickleball, tale tennis, etc), and this paddle is no exception to their top level quality production, and play-ability. This racquet is made of Fiberglass & Graphite with Honeycomb Core. The face texture makes it exceptional at grabbing the pickleball, and placing it precisely where you want it to be placed - securely on your opponent's court. Spin is easily applied. From a grip perspective, it's soft and supple while being friction-y enough to instill confidence in grip. This is a pricey paddle and worth every penny. Your game will improve significantly. Truly a wonderful racquet!”
“I am a big fan of Joola paddles. I continuously go back to the reinforced fiberglass surface set I have been using for eight months now versus some of the more expensive other name brand paddles. I was excited to be able to try the new Seneca 16mm paddle with the carbon drive surface. Both paddles have the same footprint with the exception of the handle on the Seneca is a bit longer. The tape used on the grip is very smooth and not tacky and I found I preferred the more textured tacky tape on the grip of the other Joola paddle. The Seneca is well balanced but does require a little more power behind it to get the pop factor the fiberglass has. I know, practice, practice, practice and you get to know what a paddle can do for you. So far with the Seneca, I like what I see during my games.”
“This racquet is suitable for all types of play. It’s a great racquet for competitive and recreational play. Has great control of the ball. Racquet handles the impact with little no low vibration. Provides great response with every swing.”
“This paddle is remarkable. It feels great and has improved my game a lot. My returns are faster and more accurate than with my old paddle. I would definitely recommend this paddle.”
“Super nice pickleball paddle. Very comfortable in the hand, balanced great, really gets a good grip on the ball. Super smooth movement and I absolutely love it. Well worth the money if you are an David pickleball player. Recommend”
“Let me first just say Joola makes a great paddle....I haven't tried any of their higher end paddles but their reputation for producing quality paddles is well known. So, this is my first JOOLA paddle....overall, I've used about a dozen. Here are my thoughts on the JOOLA Seneca 16mm paddle:*Handle. I like the size of the handle. I've used handles that are both shorter and longer....this seems perfect to me. My hand is on the bigger side so for obvious reasons a shorter handles isn't ideal. The longer handles impact the overall design of the hitting surface so this seems to be the best fit, for me at least. The grip tape and padding, just seem average to me. Not much padding and not particularly tacky. 4 stars overall.*Paddle Surface. This surface has some grip to it even though it's smooth. It's almost rubberized so if you like to put spin on the ball, like me, this'll work. I do, however, prefer to use paddles with surface that is a little textured....it just gives the best bite when you are putting spin on the ball. I also wanted to mention that the paddle graphics seem to impact the amount of grip. If you hit with the side with more of the light blue, it seems to have a little more grip that the backside. I don't love this. I don't want to have to be concerned about which side I am using. Not saying it makes a big diffference, but the texture is a little different. I was debating between 3-4 stars, but ultimately decided on 4 stars as the surface is pretty solid.*Sweet spot. In my opinion, this is where the Seneca excels....it feels good to play with this paddle. It has a large sweet spot and the ball has good action off the paddle. I really felt like I had good control the entire game. 5 stars. In summary....definitely a good paddle, there is a lot to like about it. I would say this would appeal to a more casual player, although an intermediate player ought to appreciate this paddle as well. I had pretty high expectations for this paddle and for the most part, it delivered. I would place this in the top 5 paddles I own. Overall...in my opinion this is between a 4 and 5 star rating, but leaning more towards 4. If this were offered at $75, I'd probably change my tune, but given the $129 price tag, I will stick with my 4 star rating.”
