“I’ve always used a paddletek wave pro paddle and ii loved the control of the paddle but missing the extra pop to finish off a volley or drive.the Vision paddle is awesome ! Not only was I able to buy on sale from Amazon for $139, but I gained extra spin and pop along with control with the 16 mm. Best value for what I paid without having to buy the Hyperion …..it does all the same things! The paddle is elongated and I would recommended edge guard tape…the edge guard may get scruffed or nicked. Enjoy as much as I do !”
“I have had this paddle for 3 months and the first week it took some getting used to bc the pop was incredible. I loved playing with it and felt my control was more on point. However, in the last few weeks, it’s lost some oomph. Some times the ball will just die on the paddle or I can’t seem to serve or return deep. I also had to regrip the handle bc the grip it came with was just too thick for smaller, female hands. Plus the white got dirty very quickly. I play 3 times a week but I have never had a paddle lose its oomph so quickly. I need to contact the manufacturer. Doesn’t seem quite right and perhaps it’s defective.”
“I own this paddle as well as the Ben Johns' Hyperion. This one is quite a bit cheaper, but if you're looking for spin, this one is just as effective. It lacks the power and the control of the Hyperion, but it's still a great paddle. The handle and grip are comfortable and if you're a player who likes to use spin, this is a very good choice.”
“The vision is a long paddle for someone who values reach over other attributes. This is a light handle at 7.8 oz. This type of paddles is best for people coming from tennis where they already have a good powerful stroke style. The longer paddle is more natural for them. Because of the length the paddle is on the narrower range, which makes for less of a sweet spot. I generally do not recommend this style for a beginner. Why?Pickleball paddles have a lot of different variations. Which ones should you pick and why? You should consider these factors in this order:Weight - go with a medium weight paddle to start. Something no heavier than a 7.9 oz paddle. As you figure out your play style, a heavier paddle, 8.1 or more, will give you more power where as a lighter paddle will give you more control. The thickness of the paddle, either 14 or 16 mm, affects power. The thicker paddle gives you less power and more control.Handle length - if you like to hold the paddle differently during different strokes, try a longer handle paddle. Borrow one on the courts to try it out and see if that gives you more ways to play. If you always hold the paddle in the same spot, than a shorter or standard length handle will give you a better paddle shape:The specifications for Pickleball paddle is that the length and the width of the paddle together must be not more than 24 inches. So a shorter handle will let you have a wider paddle, which means more hit area and a better sweetspot. The thickness of the handle matters a bit, but remember you can always add over-wrap tape to make it thicker as needed.”
“This paddle is great, a huge improvement for players looking to step up their pickleball game. Previously I had a cheaper paddle which was roughly $30 or so. This was a huge upgrade. Not only is the paddle lightweight, but it has great grip on the face to allow for some spin and better returns. I actually felt like I hit the ball much better with this paddle. The hand grip is great and it feels well constructed and will last a while. After playing pickleball for some time with a worse paddle, I will never go back. Friends who played with me noticed how good this paddle is too.Only thing I would recommend is a carrying case for this price point would be great. The shipping packaging was also lacking (although there was no damage on the paddle when it arrived). Overall a great paddle that will elevate your game!”
“Our 17 year old son has gotten into recreational pickleball with some of his friends and we got him this paddle as an upgrade from a wooden one we got with an all-in-one net set. It's a solid upgrade to a nicer paddle. He's played some organized tennis in the past too, so he has some skills with spin and this one provides improved control and nuance. He notices an improved response off the face of the paddle. It's also much lighter, giving better feel and control. The grip is very effective too, even when hands get sweaty in our super hot and humid north Georgia summer weather. Overall this is a really nice high quality paddle that more experienced players will appreciate. It would be overkill for a beginner (like me) but a worthy investment for a more skilled user.”
