I (4.5-5.0) bought two Hyperion paddles back in early 2024 and by the time this came out I noticed BOTH headguards were coming away from main paddle. This causes poor feel and performance but I was fortunate to have Amazon refund the cost. I then decided to try these and, so far, I’ve been very happy with them. They were pretty light so I watched Ben John’s video of how he prepped them for play with lead tape and so I gave that a try. They are now more stable and allows me to drive the ball with even more pace and topspin I think. Since durability is very important to me I can completely recommend them on that aspect since I haven’t had them more than a few months. Will come back and update this if I run into any issues.

I ordered this paddle as I love last years model. I found this paddle a little heavy and the feel wasn’t there. When you hit the ball it feels like your hitting it with a piece of wood. Unfortunately I went back to my old paddle.

I had a Hyperion and it was my favorite paddle. The control, the spin, the power. Wow it was great. I noticed with this paddle, everything was worse. I used it for a good month straight and changed paddles.I dont like the embroidered letters.. call my crazy I swear it was causing Mishits. The spin was good but control wasn’t quite there. Power was definitely there and hand speeds were close to Hyperion. I wouldnt say Joola missed on this paddle, but it just wasn’t for me.

All I can wow I used selkirk power air. And perseus out does it in every way. I thought power air had power until I played with this and I instantly picked up better shots and feel. The feel is smooth when the ball comes off the paddle. I'm a believer this my go to paddle.
