“I have both the joola ben john hyperion cfs and the joola solaire. They both have the standard joola grip, and have a very similar carbon fiber surfaces. The ben john is .8oz lighter than the solaire, but they are both well balanced pickleball paddles. The ben john feels very similiar to the solaire despite the lighter weight and more aerodynamic shape but at a premium price. The carbon fiber surfaces are also similar, my nephew acted as my paddle tester, and he was unable to distinguish the difference from one surface to the other. Overall these are both excellent paddles, but I’d suggest looking at the joola solaire line which are cheaper and come with the paddle cover included unlike the ben john hyperion cfs.”
