“If you are a serious Pickleball player you've heard about Joola, Ben Johns, and the combination of both, being probably one of the highest acclaimed paddles, The Joola Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 16.People complained of it being too head heavy, i own the Regular CFS 16, it was hands down what opened my eyes on how different it would be playing with a $50 Head paddle i got from Dick's Sporting compared to the Hyperion CFS16.Joola listened to the feedback and they came up with the Swift line, being this one the CFS 14 Swift one and also a CFS 16 Swift, in both Ben Johns and Simone Jardim's versions, which are advertised as lighter, better weight balanced paddle, with the same features as the regular CFS, and while i don't know the specifics on the manufacturing process and the physics, they came up with this swift paddle line.Long story short this is still a really good paddle, but it doesn't hold the "magic feeling" from the Regular BJ CFS16, or of the Regular BJ CFS 14.The surface area is the same, the handle is slightly thinner at 4.125" compared to the Cfs 16 @ 4.25" but felt no significant difference in grip, but the Carbon Friction Surface feels thinner, also inconsistent across the BJ's and the Simone line, inconsistency here Joola, the grit feels different in all of my CFS paddles, despite being advertised as all being the same. The paddle feels A LOT lighter and more balanced compared to the CFS 16, but when you strike the ball, the feeling is completely different, it's hard to describe, but i would describe it as "inconsistent" or "hollow", not terrible but feels like the sweet spot is unpredictable. Also, the absorption that helps with the control feels different. Compared to the non-swift CFS 14, and i am not sure on exactly they lost the weight, it may be due to using less foam on the edges (what Joola calls HYPERFOAM) or if the honeycomb is less dense, but the result is that there is less absorption when you strike the ball. Also, i noticed less spin, the surface feels the same, but maybe the lack of mass/weight affects how the power is transferred to the ball, unsure of the physics involved, but the result was noticeable. To summarize, this paddle retains the high quality of the regular BJ CFS line and the handle, quality feeling, construction, tape and materials all feel of high/premium quality. It is an interesting approach to a lighter solution of the beloved Hyperion CFS 16, but does it hold all of its magic? No it doesn't, it's still a major upgrade from an intermediate paddle, and your mileage may vary, people may end up liking this Swift version better than the classic due to it's higher mobility, but the magic just wasn't there for me at this price point.”
“Amazing product! This paddle blew me away with the quality and feel of the unit. It felt super light in hand yet durable. It gave me much more confidence in my playstyle and made the experience much more enjoyable as a whole. Highly recommend this paddle if you have the money to buy it!”
“This Joola Ben John's Hyperion CFS 14mm Swift is an outstanding, top-notch paddle. The paddle's weight, excellent balance, and admirable grip make it feel like an extension of my body. My swings are smooth, and I am still able to maintain a high level of control and power when making contact with the ball. The amount of spin I can easily put on the ball is unreal with this paddle. Of course, we all have our preferences, but you can really up your game with this paddle. I highly recommend it as it's worth every penny.”
“These are not cheap paddles, but they are also TOP OF THE LINE!! If you are a serious player, you can’t beat the quality of these paddles!! This one in particular offers great quality without completely breaking the bank…best of both worlds if you’re really into pickle ball!! You won’t be disappointed!!”
“This is by far a quality premium paddle! I love the elongated handle and it also gives me a better grip. I am a woman with large hands, not huge, but on the larger side. My hand/grip fits perfect! My old paddle, sometimes my hand would end up sliding onto the bottom of the paddle. Super light weight with the perfect amount of friction on the paddle. After using it for 2 hours I used my old one for a few minutes and it felt like a heavy plank of would!!My only negative is for the price, I wish it came with a paddle cover!!”
“This pickleball paddle feels awesome! It's as light as a feather, and it has the best paddle grip I've experienced to date. As an added bonus, it looks pretty sleek, too. Seems very well made!!”
“If you like playing a more aggressive style of pickleball, definitely go with this paddle. Its surface is extremely gritty, producing tons of spin. It's got great pop/power, allowing you to hit strong drives, overheads, and putaways. It's extremely quick around the net due to how lightweight it is. Love almost everything about this paddle. The only area where it's inferior is control/touch for dinking and blocking compared to the 16mm Hyperion.”
“I started playing pickleball nine months ago and in the last two months have been playing five or six times a week. I would consider myself an intermediate player, just past beginner. I jumped at the chance to test the Joola Ben Johns Hyperion CFS 14 mm Swift Paddle. The paddle is light weight and easy for me to grip. I have been using this paddle for the past week and I've noticed there is almost no vibration when hitting the ball. Dinking, volleying, serving, smashing and returns were all good. To be honest, I can't tell the difference when playing with this paddle and my regular paddle. This paddle screams high quality and everyone at the courts notice it almost immediately. Even though I play many games a week, I'm not sure I could justify spending the money on this paddle.”
