“The best part about this table is that it requires very little assembling. It comes assembled with all the parts, except the legs with the wheels. The legs are very easy to install - took about 30 minutes. The table was ready in no time for my kids to play... have enjoyed this new family fun activity so far. The table is pretty sturdy and heavy... difficult for two people to move.... I am guessing heavy means sturdy too.... will wait for a few months to see how it holds up. The delivery guys left the table inside the front door. We asked that the table be delivered in the basement, and they said that their instructions said that they can only leave it on the main level. Taking the table down was a pretty daunting task for me and my wife, because each side is pretty heavy.Problems:1) The screws on the metal frame at the end of one of the tables are very loose. They did not fit properly. When I opened the packaging, this metal frame was already very loose. I tried to tighten the screws in, and it seems that the screw is not long enough to go through the metal frame and into the wood of the table. Surprisingly, it is only loose on two sides on one table. The other sides on the one table are fine, and the 2nd table is also fine. I did not try to jiggle the frame to see if they would get loose or not - didn't think it was a good idea. So I finally tightened the screw as much as I could (although they still remained loose), and when I make the table upright into the playing position, the screws just fell out. The frame is still in position though, and hasn't fallen off while playing yet.2) The table tilts to the right on either side (where the two tables come together). I tried to adjust the legs, but that did not help much. Finally I put in a piece of cardboard under the wheels on one side.See attached images.”
“I was looking for a table for recreational play in my basement. I found the Joola Inside Table on Amazon (prime shipping eligible) and did some additional research on other sites and found that this was a very good quality table for the money ($370 plus tax with free delivery). The delivery was on-time (although not two-day shipping like other prime products...not surprising given the size and weight of the product). In fact the delivery folks called the same day and could have delivered it earlier if we had been available). It came in one large and very heavy box. Fortunately, the table itself is in two parts, so I was able to easily carry the two table parts into my basement with the help of a friend. Set up was easy. All you do is extend the legs on each table piece and attach the wheels to the bottom with a couple of bolts, washers, and nuts. It only took about 10 minutes. Once assembled, both table parts can be easily folded up and moved on the attached wheels. You can also fold one table up against the other for a backboard effect. After putting the wheels on, my son and I flipped the two tables over and they went together easily (no need to adjust the height of either table). The net attached to the center with large squeeze clamps on each side and the table was ready to go. The table plays great. The balls bounce evenly throughout the table surface. The table is well made and a great value. I highly recommend it.”
“This has been a great Christmas gift for our family this year. I have two teenage boys who love to spend time playing video games. We limit their time, but then the inevitable "there's nothing to do" is always brought up. I no longer hear that comment since we purchased the JOOLA ping pong table.SHIPPING/PACKAGING - the product comes in a HUGE, HEAVY, hard-to-handle box. It's a big flat box that's the size of half of a pong table. It comes shipped special freight (semi truck) and the box may appear fairly banged up and damaged with holes in - at least it did in my case. I have to admit, I was concerned about the table being damaged. But, the packaging is very good and there's actually durable wood-like flats on each side protecting the table itself. Although the box looked like it had been handled poorly, the table itself had absolutely no damage. I pride myself in being a strong, manly-man, but one individual will not be able to lift/carry this into a house, let alone down to the basement as was my case.SETUP - the instructions aren't the greatest, but there's really very little setup involved. You'll want a wrench and ratchet to install the 8 bolts/washers/nuts. That's it. You're basically just putting the four legs onto the underside of the table. The instructions don't clearly state it, but make sure you put TWO braces on each leg (one on each side). You'll need two people to flip the table(s) over once done - it's actually two completely detached table halves that simply bump up to each other for play. The net is as basic and easy to setup as it gets - it's two giant clamps connected by the net so you put them on the side of the the table(s) by simply squeezing and clamping.STORAGE - the table(s) fold up very easily. My 12 and 14 year old son's do it with easy. You simply lock the caster wheels (so they don't roll away while folding) and then lift the table end from horizontal to vertical. The hinging mechanism is very smooth and makes this super-easy to do in literally seconds. Once the table is vertical in storage position, there's a latch that catches and keeps it in that position. You then unlock the wheels and easily roll the vertical table wherever you want. The great news is it's still short enough to easily fit under your standard 82" door opening - i.e. it'll go from one room to another with ease.PLAY - we are not ping pong (err...table tennis) aficionados. We know the basics and enjoy a prolonged volley. The table is very solid. It doesn't sway or sag when playing. It looks fantastic (professional and clean) and appears very durable. The best part, I love hearing my boys laughing for hours while they're NOT PLAYING VIDEO GAMES!!! It's great exercise. I use a Fitbit and it definitely increases your steps/day. We also purchased the
Kettler Advantage 4-Player Table Tennis Set
set and it works great for this table.”
“We shopped around a LOT for this table, and this seemed to be the best combination for us in the 'low end of the high end' brand names in terms of quality of manufacture, sturdiness of table, evenness of surface, good to very good reviews here on Amazon.ca and on the US Amazon site, etc. This table has several terrific features: adjustable legs (to account for variations in your floor), easy clip-on and taut net, evenly finished surface and paint, very sturdy and stable design and materials, a very small footprint when folded (the smallest of all of the tables we compared), great 1-player set up, and VERY VERY BEST OF ALL it assembles in less than 20 minutes. My sons were having a ball playing on this table in less than 1 hour of being delivered. You'll need 2 sets of strong arms to unpack and set up the table; recommend unpacking it outdoors or in your garage and moving it one half at a time to its location in your home. Most major brands are around this price point with relatively similar quality, and the easy assembly was what tipped us to this table. Works well in our basement with low suspended ceilings too. Delivery time was arranged by 'phone call from a local delivery service and they came when they said they would. Overall a great experience.”
“Overall I really like the "play" of this table for its price point as compared to very high priced models. The packaging was fantastic and I was very happy to see all parts there and intact! Assembly was very quick as the folding leg brackets were already attached. On the down side the only leg components you have to deal with are attaching the wheeled legs to the underside brackets. The engineering that went into this portion was really lacking. You have two identical square components for each of the four that butt together and then you have to bolt two outer plates over them to hold the two pieces together. Instead I would have had them as simple male/female ends that one slips into the other and then you put a bolt through. This would be stronger and easier as well. Also the two table pieces should have had something like a male/female bracket that would mate them/lock them together. Instead you roll them up to each, lock the wheels and you secure the two with the net clamp. Lastly the one function it lacks (I should have researched it better) as compared to numerous other models at this price point is that although you can fold these up (notice I said these) its actually two individual pieces. I thought it operated more like some others where the two pieces fold into each other putting the whole table up on ONE wheeled assembly (I guess this is on me, I thought it had this function). Like I said very good play but lacks some minor engineering and function.”
“First for the table itself- it seems to be excellent quality- sturdy, beautiful, solid, easy to fold up and wheel around. The net is clamped onto each side like a giant clothespin/chip-clip, which makes it very easy to put on and take off, and it even has an easy way to adjust the tension of the net cord. This is all very well thought out. It is so much better than the table I grew up with, and looks like it is built to last.Delivery was a tale of two cities. The first time I ordered it, the delivery company (XPO) was supposed to bring it on a Saturday 6-9am. I waited and waited and they never came. Finally called Amazon at 9am and they said they would call me back at 10am when "large package delivery" opened. When they didn't call back I called them, and they contacted the shipper, found out that the shipper never got the delivery from Amazon, and no one ever told me. So I had Amazon cancel that order and ordered another for 2 weeks later. Two days later, the delivery company called me telling me they were delivering it the next day. I told them they never came the first time and I wouldn't be home (on a Tuesday)- they said they would cancel the delivery. The next day the delivery guy called telling me he was on the way to my house- I told him I had cancelled it the day before and couldn't take delivery. What a mess. Two weeks later, I got a phone call the day before delivery confirming they would deliver it, and then another phone call at 5:55am confirming they were on their way and would arrive in 10 minutes. The two delivery guys were very nice, and while they only were required to bring it in the front door or garage, they happily brought it around the house and into storm doors into the basement. They helped me unwrap it to check for damage (and wise took pictures themselves to show there wasn't any), and also took away all of the boxes and packing material for me. Just an outstanding deliver process. I was so impressed, I gave them high marks despite the company's mistakes the first time around. Now I'm playing ping pong with my girls, just the way my parents taught me and their parents taught them. And they love it.”
“Long story behind getting this table. The first one I ordered was somehow lost by the carrier XPO (not sure how you lose a ping-pong table), so I sat home waiting for it to be delivered twice, and both deliveries were missed. Amazon was fairly good about it and gave me some money back, and recommended I cancel and just re-order, so I did. The second delivery process was flawless (Pilot). They gave me a call about an hour before they showed up to make sure I would be home. Now onto the table...Assembly: Incredibly easy to assemble. Just had to attach the wheels (took maaaybe 20 minutes).Storage: Even better than I imagined. Folds up into a very compact size and can easily be stored in the garage (while still parking in there).Table mobility: This would be the only thing I would say is just OK. It moves around, but the wheels don't pivot very easily, so it can be kind of hard to keep it in a straight line when moving it. Not a big deal, and it's still new so they might (hopefully) break in a little bit.How the table plays: Amazing. Great surface and color, even and without any deadspots (so far). Very good value.I am very satisfied with this! I saw one review of someone's having been messed up in the shipping process, which worried me a little. But mine came perfectly intact and looks flawless. As mentioned earlier, the two missed deliveries on the first order was a little annoying, but it was totally worth the wait.BUY THIS TABLE!”
“We absolutely love this Joola Inside Tennis Table. Mind you it's only four days old for us but I am very impressed with the quality of this table so far. Delivery was on time and the delivery guys dragged the box through the garage and into the entry level basement we have. Lead delivery man was very patient as I unpacked and inspected the parts. My son and I had the table set up and playable in less than thirty minutes. It would have been only 15 if I'd done it myself, but I let him take the lead in determining tools needed and assembly. the table is very solid and with the locking casters doesn't move at all while playing, unless you give it a good shove or are going for a diving save. The paint seems very durable and resists marring when the paddle hits the surface during aggressive play. The net seems of high quality and stays firmly in place during play, yet disassembles in seconds when you need to fold the table up. Table folds up in a jiffy and solidly locks in the upright position. That, coupled with the smooth rolling action of the castors makes rolling the sections around very easy. My wife and I also like the idea of using the sections as buffet tables or extra seating at larger gatherings as they're much more sturdy that the average folding table. Table play is fantastic as the paint isn't too slippery and the table top is so solid that the ball bounce is very natural and predictable during play. For the price (we got ours for $100 off on an Amazon 1 day sale), I don't think you can get a better table and I highly recommend this table to anyone looking for a high quality table at a good price.”
