JOOLA Tischtennisplatte Rally TL Outdoor Reviews

4.3 Rating 68 Reviews
hi, We're having a blast with our table! The bounce is good with ordinary balls, the table top is very durable and and good looking. The net clamps work Fine. Note that the two table haves aren't connected. Which at first i was like Whoa... But It's better that they aren't connected since it takes up less room for storage and it's also easier to move 2 halves inside and outside. It's easier and narrower to carry a 1/2 then move the Whole table. The two halves mate up fine and the net clamps work very well too,Seriously, for the 500 bucks it's a steal, this thing is solidly built. My son had 6 teenage friends over and I wasnt worried a bit about that table. My wife an are really enjoying it too! She's been wanting a table for years.Make sure you buy a cover, for when it's setup so leaves and sticks don't get on it.

After purchasing the table on Amazon it requests that you pick a delivery time and day. Since we were purchasing this as a gift we decided to delay it a week and have it delivered on a Thursday at 3pm - 6pm window (when I am off work). The week of, that Monday, they call to say it will be delivered tomorrow, Tuesday, at the 12pm - 3pm window. Obviously this was not doable for me but when I asked why couldn't I just have my original, scheduled, delivery date the person on the phone said it was no longer available. Reluctantly I decided to just deal with it and work a later time, won't work for everyone obviously but I am lucky to be able to do that. The day of the delivery they show up at 11:31am, pretty much half an hour before the window. I was just getting out of the shower, so once again I was a bit disappointed. Luckily the delivery drivers were very efficient, kind, and seemed like nice people, so I let the whole delivery fiasco go.The packaging for the table looked dreadful ( deep tears and scratches everywhere, dirt along three sides, dents in the corners) so I was ready to be disappointed again, but when I opened up the box I was delighted to see that they use very hard cardboard with delicate wrapping to protect the table. Kudos on that!Putting together the table took all of maybe 5 minutes (just attached the feet), but here lies the reason I gave this a four star rating. The feet that you attach out of the package are held on with a terribly flawed design. At first I thought maybe they sent me a flawed post, or maybe I misread the instructions, but upon further review of the small pamphlet of a manual you are given I noticed that in fact the table was designed this way. Let me explain, the main support - the legs you are attaching and which will hold the weight of not only the table, but the inevitable people that will fall on it, or move it in awkward horizontal directions with some force- are connected via their ends and two pieces of plate metal. Instead of these hollow posts sliding into each other and having a bolt secure them (which is the basic way any sectional metal object these days are secured, or so it seems) this one has the butt ends stacked and only two pieces of metal on the outside holding them together in what I can only describe as a nimble way.My only other annoyance was that they sent me the wrong net. I ordered the "Rally Outdoor" version, which has some small green textures along the side, and green net posts (or at least that is what is pictured when you select it), but they sent me the one that is pictured in the "Nova DX Outdoor" version - Blue posts. This isn't that big of a deal, as it doesn't clash much, if any, with the table itself, but I feel this is a strange thing to screw up. The perfectionist in me is angry for the fact I would much prefer the green ones. Also, it's about the principle of the matter...I feel, personally, that for the asking price of $500 they could at least do some quality control and a quick rethink of their feet design. I don't feel that the cost is worth it ($350 - $400 is my preferred cost, for many reasons not listed) so I feel that I can't say I would recommend this table. I would be interested to know why the cost is so much. Materials? Production? Shipping? I am willing to rethink my position on this, but until I know more I will stand by it.So why four stars? The key here is that I got what I expected, in that it's an outdoor ping pong table that got me and my friends many hours of fun. It's beyond easy to assemble and dissemble, seconds to do. Everything that it advertises I would say is correct even down to the water proofing, measurements, and functionality (save my net posts). And even though I have a new house rule of "don't fall, jump, or even lean on the table" due to it's design flaw, and my conscious concern of me not wanting to have a broken table on my hands, I still think it's what I wanted.Only time will tell I guess.

This is a well constructed table that is easy to fold and maneuver for storage. The only part that required assembling were the caster wheels and wheel braces. The wheels can be braked into position either for play or storage by using your foot to press down on a locking lever. We had one minor problem with the net assembly, but that was quickly resolved by customer support which provided a replacement. The table has levelers at each of the corner legs so that the table could be properly leveled once it has been unfolded and moved into it’s playing position. If you have never played on an aluminum top table, you’ll need a little practice to get used to the increase pace of the ball rebound versus the slower play of a wood deck.Overall, this is a very nice table which should provide many years of family fun. Do get the cover that is specially made for the table and keep it covered when not in use to preserve its looks and longevity.

Quick notes: Great quality and would by again without hesitation compared to other outdoor tables!Long Notes:Packaging was perfect amount. Still super heavy so I suggest delivery. I double checked packaging was not damaged before accepting and all was in good order.Instructions satisfactory but can use a couple more pics. I would suggest a 13mm and 15mm socket set or wrench for ease of assembly. The assembly of the legs can be bent if you are not careful when tightening bolts or flipping over. I put this together on my own no problem but again suggest having a buddy help you flip the table to avoid any damage. I would allow for at least 60min for assembly because of the packaging. Assembly was quick but leveling took more time. Allow another 30min to break down packaging. To any future buyers, Aluminum can bend easy. Really inspect the package before accepting. In my case I lucked out with good shippers and even then the table ever so slightly doesn't line up evenly. To remedy this get two 1/2' thick 2x2' pieces of wood or a couple large washers to support leveling of the table (using the net). Hard to explain but the second pic attached to my review gives an example. I just broke a couple pieces of the particle board from the packaging.Last note, it seems the ping pong balls don't bounce like they do on a traditional table. I believe this is aluminum. I purchased this because we plan to use this both indoor and outdoor.

This arrived on time and is a beautiful table and the package appeared fine so the damage may have happened prior to packaging. Once opened and set up, two dents were visible on the tabletop from the same impact. whatever hit it dented one table side giving it a bump and then the other table has a matching recession. The item is too big to return and I had already used a circular saw to cut up the packaging for recycling as it is a very hard pressed cardboard used to protect it. The table is playable but it is disappointing that it is damaged and not something I can fix. If it was not damaged I would rate the playing surface very high. Please note it is two separate tables that you place next to each other.

I am quite happy with my Joola Table. I purchased it to go in my unfinished attic and it has been great! It has a solid and sturdy feel to it with good build quality. The ping pong balls bounce nicely with the classic ping pong sound. The table moves easily when needed and has locking castor wheels. The net is held on by a clamp on each side of the table and I have had no issues keeping it tight. However, the net clamps are the only elements holding the two halves of the table together. There are no other parts securing them. Each half of the table folds independently for storage, which I prefer actually, but I would have liked a latch of some kind to keep the two halves in place. Having said that I have not had a single issue with the table splitting apart. I doubted the net clamps at first, but they seem to hold the table together just fine.Setup was rather simple outside of one step that the instructions warned me about. I comes mostly setup outside of the castor legs and net. The castor legs are installed with the table top upside down. When flipping the table over you must not put the weight on the outside legs or else they bend. You have to lock the castor wheels then flip the table toward that side because the legs are much stronger. The setup was so intuitive that I began to flip the table without reading the instructions. Fortunately I noticed the weak point before damage was done. The legs are plenty strong to hold the table up, but they are designed to fold for storage so there are structural weak points. Make sure you flip the table toward the side with the castors and you will have zero problems. All in all it took about 30 minutes for me to setup.Keep in mind that the delivery box is very large and heavy. I highly suggest you have the delivery people place it where you want it to be setup. All in all I am very satisfied with the quality and price. Great job Joola!

I was a bit nervous about this table because there were some reviews that spoke of the product being damaged during shipping. But that was not the case for me. It was very well packed and protected, and was in mint condition upon arrival. In fact the most difficult part of assembly was just getting it out of the box. But I was happy it was packed so well.Assembly was easy, and took about a half hour once I had it unpacked. The table is very sturdy, rolls well on the wheels, and the net is great quality. I've played on some cheap ones and the net is great. I keep mine in my garage, so I couldn't comment about glare or how it holds up against weather. It folds up easily and quite compact. It has a low profile, maybe 2.5' at the wheel base, once it is folded up.Also, I LOVE the color! I'm not sure why, but I guess I am used to darker blue tables. This one was a lighter blue, and I love the look of it.The only CON I noticed is the slight dip in the center where the tables meet. One side dips just slightly below the other, maybe 1/4". But it was small enough that it was insignificant. This is a great table. Great quality. I highly recommend.
