“The Centre presents a well organised introduction into the life and times of Jane Austen. There is a nice mix of an introductory talk, video presentation and the ability to roam the exhibits, but with knowledgeable and helpful guides to answer questions. We really enjoyed our 2 hours.”
“I had visited the JA centre with my daughter last week and it wasn't on a seniors ticket though. The visit was nice and staff were nice and friendly. However we got a rude shock when we visited the Regency tearooms for tea. We had ordered crumpets and a pot of tea for the two of us. But we were told to order more as every person visiting needed to order separately. So we were forced to order another pot of tea which was wasted as one pot of tea was enough for both of us. We found this very odd and this left an unpleasant impression on our minds. Forcefully getting your guests to order food per head seems very rude and unfair.”
“I arranged a group visit. Just booking process is confusing as I paid and then received a email indicating the group size is not appropriate.
Anyway all sorted at the end I believe.”
“A dream to visit the Jane Austen Center and drink tea in the tearoom.
It was great although I think there is a need of more content.
The Lady doing the tour knew her subject well .
The tea was excellent, but I think some menu are too expensive, one piece of cake for 9' is too much.”
