“Last week we visited the Jane Austen Centre in Bath. It was truly a unique and most satisfying experience! The staff are very friendly, the bookshop is a veritable treasure trove while the tea rooms serve exquisite sandwiches, tea and delicacies. Highly recommended to all Jane Austen fans!!”
“Very informative and interesting centre however it would benefit from investment in updating and redesign and greater thought about its presentation. The information presented was interesting and staff were all friendly, but hearing information stood in a corridor with the information being hear throughout the rest of the museum was not great. There is little consideration for the elderly i.e. chairs for them to sit in around the downstairs area and the video needs to have subtitles activated for those hard of hearing. The cafe was OK, but the environment and standard of food and delivery significantly lower than found in most other cafes visited over recent years. This is a great museum with so much valuable and interesting information but desperately needs some financial investment to bring it into the 21st century and to be able to compete with other venues of interest in Bath.”
“Jane Austen's House in Bath was a great way to learn more about her and her family, plus the Guides are brilliant at bringing to life all the little tales of Jane's life.”
“Me and my fiancee visited bath for my 30th birthday and loved the Jane Austen centre. It was very informative and I loved the way that they all dressed up as different Jane Austen characters. We gained lots of information about janes time in bath as well as her life and would definately return.”
