“Bought this pattern because 15 year old daughter had heart set on going to school as Catherine Moreland for World Book Day (complete with dip pen and a copy of Udolpho!). Had planned to just "wing it" with making the dress until someone mentioned that these patterns were available on-line. Went for the e-pattern as time was getting short and did not want to wait for delivery. The result was a great success, both safer and far more authentic that we would have otherwise managed. We took a few short cuts owing to running out of both time and fabric but the instructions and historical notes were very helpful and made me feel fairly confident about the decisions I was making. I was particularly impressed that, when I sent an e-mail asking for help with getting the pattern to print out, I received a prompt, personal and helpful reply. The pattern itself also arrived in my in-box even fasted than promised. My only criticism would be that, with a e-pattern it would make much more sense to send each pattern piece separately, so that you only have to print out the pieces you are actually using and also so that you can minimise the number of "joins" in each piece - the enormous and unwieldy "jigsaws" that had to be completed to turn the pile of printed paper into two large sheets was by far the hardest part of the whole project!”
“The instructions are mostly simple to follow, though some steps aren't repeated in the same detail for every piece (I had to read all of the sleeve instructions to get a complete understanding how to properly attach the one I wanted) I adapted the pattern to create an open front gown and it was very simple to do so, even without needing a dress form.”

“I've bought this patterns along with the "Regency Underthings", and they're both lovely. I haven't finish my sewing yet, so I cannot attest perfection, but, from what I've seen so far, it looks good. A brief advice, if I may: it's much easier to print the epatterns in your local photocopy shop. They print it in original size, it's cheap, and you don't have to "assemble" the pattern with scotch tape.”
