This book is an absolute must have for anyone whose favourite Darcy is Colin Firth, and favourite Pemberley (exterior) is Lyme Park. It is full of stunning photos of the exterior of 'Pemberley' that have been softened to look like water colours, purportedly painted by a very talented Georgiana Darcy. There are little maps and asides drawn and written by Mrs Elizabeth Darcy, a forward by the author and a second forward written by CJ Knight, Jane Austen’s great niece, 5 generations later. I have actually met Ms Knight in person at my local library where she was giving a talk. I feel it brought me a little closer to Jane Austen herself! But the pièce de résistance is a handsome, hand written forward by Mr Darcy! The opposite page is a glorious water colour painting of said gentleman sitting at his desk, writing. This painting is particularly heart-wrenching because there is a framed miniature of Elizabeth on the desk. The detail is stunning. You will find paintings of scenes from the 1995, BBC production of P&P and many more paintings of the gardens, the lake and Pemberley House. I cannot imagine anyone not being thrilled to put this book on their coffee table. I know I was...after perusing it from cover to cover, many times. Enjoy! LMcK.

An interesting book inspired of the film from 1995 and the castle and landscape around Pemberley. Beautiful drawings of the park and flowers in it.

This is a wonderful collection addition for Pride and Prejudice lovers! The author has beautifully depicted Pemberley through gorgeous photos, sketches and stories. Mr Darcy guides us through the grounds with insightful storytelling, drawing us into that historic time of the book. It has inspired me to visit England and view this breathtaking property.
