“This course was very useful for me. 120 hours, in my case 5 months, was the right duration.
Contents are also appropriate for those who are planning to teach English. Not too detailed, but all the key issues are addressed. Reference to books and online resources would be extremely useful going forward.”

“The course was absolutely fantastic. I never knew that there was so much to teaching until I did this course. A lot of the course material is applicable to teaching anything, not just English as a foreign language. The course has given me knowledge and courage to tackle TEFL as a profession and I would strongly recommend it to anyone considering teaching English overseas. The only struggle I’m having now is overcoming border restrictions as pretty much all of the schools I’m looking at are hiring domestic applicants only so I’m disqualified before even applying. Tough luck!”

“I've just completed TEFL course(120 hrs). It was really an amazing journey to learn new ideas and methodoligies about ESL teaching. I also received my certificate's soft copy within three days. ITTT is highly recommended...”
“It was ok, and probably fairly standard for the industry. To me, it felt a bit too focused on memorizing of verb tense vocabulary which is confusing enough for native speakers, and nothing most foreign learners need or care about. (I say this as a multi-lingual speaker who lives in non-English speaking countries.)
The support available is better than other companies, which is why I chose it after thoroughly researching online. Thank you.”
“I learned alot from this course, and I enter my classrooms with confidence now. Yet, it has been 3 weeks and I still did not receive my certificate in print.”
“The course was very detailed. The written section summary assignments at the end of each section, and written summative task at the conclusion of the course really prompted me and helped me to reflect on TEFL education theory. As a kinesthetic learner, I found these specific “written” exercises to be both engaging and stimulating for me as TEFL student. Thank you ITTT, for putting me to work through this course and forcing me to think!
Sincerely,
Grateful TEFL Student”
“It was OK, but it was almost entirely text-based- except for two short videos in one unit. Because of this, it's difficult to watch real teachers and see how all the information works in real life. Without videos of teachers who bring it all together using a variety of techniques, it's hard to model behaviors. Videos please! It would also be nice to get some feedback on all the essays.”
Thank you for your review. We feel that the 120-hour course already presents the information needed for a comprehensive introduction into the skills and qualities needed to be an effective TEFL teacher. More videos of teachers teaching lessons would certainly be a good idea, but that would increase the number of hours significantly. A 120-hour certificate is all most TEFL teachers need to secure their first teaching position. You may want to review some of the many lessons available on YouTube of teachers delivering lessons.
