“I have been using my runners for six months now and they are fantastic. The soles are beautifully springy and cushioning, while the lightweight knit of the uppers keeps them very light and breathable, helping with foot temperature regulation even in very hot weather. Personally, I find there is just the right amount of give in the material and absolutely no need for padding - in fact, a padded tongue or upper would likely be detrimental to the overall feel of the shoes.
From reading other reviews it seems that those with very wide feet find the fit uncomfortable. It's never going to be possible to make a single shoe that fits all foot shapes, but for me these work brilliantly when laced correctly and I would be disappointed if the fit changed for future models (for reference, my feet are around average width but quite shallow through the midfoot so I have to tighten the laces accordingly).”
