“Whilst the aura is an excellent product but am disappointed the the nowtv and netflix apps are not offered on the aura.

“We purchased a refurb model and it arrived within 48hrs , it looked like new - couldn't tell it was a refurb!
We've had a previous Youview BT box , Virgin boxes and other Freeplay PVR boxes, simply the Aura blows these out of the water with the functionality. Setting up took about 30 mins to sign in to all the streaming services (BBC, ITV, CH4, My5) and tune in. It's really was very simple to set up. It also supports Plex, Pluto apps which is a benefit and adds even more channels to the freeview choice. We've got more content using this box than we had with our standard ISP TV subscription and are saving 35 a month.
The UI is great, slick , easy to use and fast.. It's not crashed once. The best thing is the Google Voice input, now it doesn't get what you're searching for right all the time but it's way better than having to use a fiddly remote to enter text and is much much quicker. Picture-wise, we only use 1080P and it's great.. nice colours and seems much better than the other boxes and other cable operator set-top boxes.
The built in Chromecast works great so we can cast Netflix to it so no big deal it not having it built in.
Overall 10/10 and very good value when compared to what we will save ditching our ISP TV subscription.”
“Purchased the Humax Aura 2TB to replace my Virgin Media TiVo service. Having used this now for 2 months I am not disappointed. The Humax Aura has it all really, perfect reception on all Freeview channels, easy to use, all the TV apps that I what and need, powered by Android TV is another bonus as having access to certain android apps on my TV is great. The size of the hard drive is great for all my needs. Not only storage for recorded programs but also has now become my Media Server which it is great at, all my devices find it without issue. Fast, smooth and has been very reliable. The android app is good for watching live and recorded TV on my mobile around the house, found that VLC is even better for this as it gives you access to the Aura for live channels with hardly any delay and recordings without having to transcode them. Chromecast built in fast and seamless casting from any device on the same network. Bluetooth, so far connected speakers, headphones and Bluetooth controller for playing games with no issue and good connection. As for it being a refurbished version, nearly forgot that it was, condition on delivery was perfect like new and I haven't had any issues at all. Effectively got the 2TB version for the price of the 1TB version. Can't recommend this more if you are interested in a box that can record TV, stream TV and stream your own media to your TV whilst being easy and intuitive to use.”
