“We are pleased with the new Humax TV recorder, it has more features than our older unit, ie TV apps such as BBC I player which is better than watching on a small laptop. also pleased that it was relatively easy to set up. Good quality picture, especially the HD channels. Easy to use with just one remote control unit.”
“Freeview side of things is easy to use, Google side of things a bit complicated unless you know your way round google system.
I wouldn't recommend this for basic tv user
Fast responding box better than the last”
“Disappointed, unable to use app on my iPhone (I could 10 years ago), constant dropout and image pixelation on some channels which is only cured by pulling out the power supply and reconnecting after approximately 10seconds, it seems that although there are many great improvements some fundamentals
have taken backwards steps, I’ve got two previous edit Humax still in use but this could be my last purchase
P.S. what’s the problem with Netflix, every other format has it now.

“Good picture but the software has lots of bugs. So far I have found about 7.
I emailed the (NO)support email address to report the bugs and my email was totally ignored. I had hoped that this recorder would be better than my other recorders as this is the latest model. But clearly they need to do more thorough software testing before releasing a product. DO NOT rely on the buyers to do the testing for you.”
“We relocated from Hants to West Sussex 5 months ago. With a decent terrestrial aerial coverage and being a new pensioner, we decided to purchase a Humax freeview recorder to reduce our TV, phone and broadband monthly bill.
After nearly a month of use, we have found it to meet most of our viewing needs which is enhanced by the ability to record 5 channels at once. The only niggle is that it does not facilitate Netflix which we achieve via our Smart TV.”
