“By far the best STB I I have ever owned. Moving from talktalk tv's STB is like going from a Nokia 3330 to an Samsung Galaxy S23. It really is night and day. The android OS is on par with that of a Nvidia Shield and is as responsive.
The Live TV integration with the OS is spot on and the voice control works seamlessly across all the applications.
The Humax app makes watching recorded TV and Live TV on your smartphone so simple.
What's it's missing.
Well the main thing here has to be the absence of Netflix. I am not sure why this is not pre-installed or available through the playstore but this one ommission means I have to keep my Nvidia Shield which is rather annoying.
It is also missing an android remote control app that works and the one that is available makes you use WIFI network connection on the STB as it and the phone that app will be installed on must be in the same WiFI network. But even with all that done my STB couldn't be found or configured.
All in all, this is a really good STB/Android combination but has some glaringly obvious flaws that on the surface, seem to be easily solvable.
