Easy to use, great picture and features, good to look at. Would like to turn standby light off, but thats only a small detail.

Bought to replace the old Humax Youview box, but using the same connection the receoption is worse - having to use catch up as some are unwatchable. When watching some programmes it jumps back to the star of the programme too, so hopefully that's just due to the poor reception again, as when using an app to view them they are fine. It's a shame as the box has real potential, so hoping that it will improve with use! Also struggling to sync the sound - when adjusting it just becomes worse, so havig to just put up with it.

I've now own the Humax Aura for 4 weeks and am delighted with it. It only took 30 minutes or so to setup and was very straight forward. The Aura is very simple to use with all the most useful functions being logical and straight forward to use. My only slight issue is with the Aura app (running on an iPad) this has a couple of issues, firstly you don't seem to be able to delete programs from the app. The second issue is that on a couple of a occasions I have setup programs to record, but they haven't been recorded. These are only minor issues and the overall convince of being able to access the unit from my iPad more than out weigh them.

Why does it not have Netflix??? Otherwise it’s fine and a small improv on my old FVP-4000T.

Simply brilliant! Once you understand it. Ours is the 2TB model - but that makes no difference. The key things are that you can see the light on the front (!) and it does what you ask it to, without delay. This may sound silly, but we have had 4 Humax's, and the last one (an FVP5000T) was rubbish. It could be persuaded to record and play back, but was soooo sloow, you almost always ended up purple in the face, and tempted by fruity language. And the updates don't help! Buy the Aura, even if the google and phone stuff is not for you - it works beautifully just as a time shifter and recorder player, with excellent definition. Anyone like an FVP5000T just one year old? Nothing wrong - just a nightmare.....

Feature packed and promises a lot. It seems to have a very low sensitivity tv tuner in it. my other Humax box works fine on the same aerial signal but this one did not. It failed to record several programs stating " no signal". The catch up services seemed to work when they felt like it. I only kept it a few days before returning it to Humax for a refund. Disappointed. Hopefully Humax will sort out it's problems and I will consider buying another in the future.
