“I have given 3stars because the TV Guide menu could be better (moves across in one hour batches would be a lot better in half hour batches)
I mainly record every programme I view. My last TV recorder (Manhattan) would inform me if I already had that recorded programme in my library saving duplications.
I was very concerned when I fast forwarded on a pre-recorded programme recently, once I returned to playback the recording went right back to the start of the programme, I could not correct this ! therefore had to watch the whole programme including the adverts. This has happened only once, if it happens again I will contact your support line.
If I stop a recorded programme halfway through and return to the Recorded menu the following day. The menu does not start on the programme I have half watched it starts right at the top of the menu so I have to remember what I was watching and scroll down until I can find it !
The Buttons at the top of the Remote, ie R/menu, Apps,. speaker (next row) f/rewind, start/pause, f/forward. (next row) Record, ----, Stop. Are far too close together causing me to keep pressing the wrong button !
No slow motion on play back.
I do like the icons on the Guide menu which lets me know if the programme has Subtitles as I am quite deaf and need subtitles
Overall at the moment I am happy with my Humax Box and I am starting to get used to it's small failings as described above.
So it's a case of 'So far so good'”

“After installing the device, it carried out an update after which it was very glitchy. Support advised that I should reset the device, after the reset the remote would not work with the device which leaves it unusable. Support promised a new remote 2 weeks on this has failed to arrive and they are now out of stock. Unfortunately I would advise that people avoid buying this device until the software is fully sorted out and basic spares such as remote are available. I now have an expensive Android powered paper weight which is of no use for anything else. I have been promised a callback from support and I will update this review accordingly.”
“Such a lot crammed into such a little box! It makes tv so much easier to watch I don’t miss Virgin or Sky one bit I would recommend the Aura to any tv lovers who like to watch easy !!”
