I am very pleased with my Humax Aura 4K Android TV Recorder - 2TB. It's very easy to use and to make recordings of TV programmes.

It's Good! Does basically everything I want apart from no netflix, netflix is not even possible via the inbuilt chomecast unless Humax get it certified. Android TV is the backing OS and it allows some pretty cool things to be done, for me being able to plug in a usb controller and setup retroarch is awesome, I have also run stadia and steam link apps successfully, but expect some latency, they are fine for slower paced games. Prime, apple Disney+ apps are all available. And actually, The DVR interface is basic but very usable, and playback has an often overlooked feature of 2x & 1.5x speed playback, v useful for those of us short on time. There are currently a few interface bugs, but nothing deal breaking, and I hope they will be fixed going forward.

An excellent product, packed with features, a great OS, excellent recording quality but don't expect true 4K from 1080P. 4K content from Youtube is superb. A well designed remote makes it easy to use.

I was at a loss when my TV /internet supplier removed the tv facility. I was delighted to find the Humax recorder it far exceeds my expectations and makes tv, catch up and recording so easy to use.

In general, I'm very pleased with it. I particularly like it's ability to record up to 4 channels at the same time (prevents losing the start/ends of overlapping schedules). It was purchased to replace my aging Panasonic HWT150 and it's a definite improvement on that model in most areas. The Humax's software still needs slight improvements, with occasional loss of control of the video signal, some pixelation issues are still present on "weaker" recording channels and the occasional "wake-up" glitch, but overall the software is quite stable for this type of product. In conclusion I would say it's a good product which I'm sure will become even better as future software updates correct the small number of outstanding (minor) issues.

I was so impressed, I bought another one for another room! Fabulous bit of technology and it’s a 12volt device so it works in my caravan too.

This is my second Humax TV Recorder. The first one, Foxsat 1 TB (Freesat) bought in 2011 did excellent service but the hard drive may have failed and it will no longer record plus I have lost all my recordings. The new Freeview Aura is excellent and I'm still getting my head around all the features. My one big grumble is the micro-font on the programme info screen. It is so small as to be barely readable. Also tiny fonts on the Programme Guide. We don't all have 20/20 vision with the eyesight of a 20 year old. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Very buggy software at the moment. Have had to reboot several times and only had it a couple of weeks. Sometimes won't turn on, sometimes it just displays a white screen of static and playback of a recording in progress stops when you try and skip adverts. Doesn't work well when the tv controls the on/off function, they get out of sync so the aura turns on but the TV turns off. Hopefully it improves over time.
