“The features are impressive. Let down hugely by a regular glitch momentarily interrupting sound and vision. Still trying to work out if this is a design fault or caused by other devices connected to my TV's HDMI ports. I must pull out the other devices to try and identify if the disturbance originates in the Aura or is external.”
“Where to start. This has to be the most disappointing electronic device I have ever purchased. I’m on my second box and it still doesn’t work properly. Ringing up their technical support is worse than useless. One person I spoke to had the technical knowledge of a child. Completely didn’t know the basic facts of how it works. Both boxes randomly drop the Ethernet connection for no reason. Don’t worry says technical support wifi is far faster than a Cat 8 connection direct from the router. You get the picture. So you have to connect by both Ethernet and wifi so it decides which it wants to use. This Ethernet problem is something seen by several other owners. Didn’t take much searching online to find them. But Humax denies a problem exists. Then there are the apps which fail to load up far too often, or the settings you have previously saved which for some reason just disappear. I put a lot of the problems down to the android operating system which is utter garbage and needs junking. Never buy a tv running android, free advice for you. So I’m stuck with a box which doesn’t work properly with Humax denying any problems. The fact that others have suffered the same means it is pointless swapping boxes again. Just hope a future software update will sort the problems out”
“This is a first-class PVR - everything the absolutely appalling FVP-5000T would have been if Humax had put a processor in it that was up to the job. I still feel very annoyed that I wasted £269 on the FVP-5000T but, back to the task in hand, I am delighted with the Aura 4K. It has a fast processor and is extremely snappy making it a pleasure to use. The catch-up TV element is particularly good - far better than either my TV or Amazon Firestick.
There are a few little niggles like the almost invisible B&W symbol that marks a programme that has been set for recording and the fact it takes 4 clicks to turn sub-titles on, but I can forgive these for the joy of using a machine that does its job so quickly and efficiently.”

“Bought to replace Humax 5000t which has given good service for over 4 years, moved to my office. The Humax Aura android tv recorder is much faster in response time. The picture quality is great. Apps are very good but Now TV app does not work, which is a shame as wanted to do away with amazon stick. Hope they will get this app working soon.”
