“All in all is a excellent box but there is no Netflix app, which for Netflix subscriber is a no go, even try to side loading it. No success. Some manages it but the resolution of the picture is poor.
And the STB channels are jumbled up. I wish they are in order unlike the Freesat box. But only the HD channels are in order.”
“The recorder arrived on time and was well packaged. It was very easy to set up, even for me who does not keep up with technology Very fast to get programmed and get the remote control set up. Very happy with the quality of the recorder. Excellent price for a great product.”
“Very impressed with quality. Still trying to navigate my way around the changes from previous 2 models which are quit similar to work. Disappointed there still isn't a clock/timer as have to pause or stop to check how far through a program I am or what time it actually is. Loved Humax quality and ease of use for quite a few years after being highly recommended by my brother.”
“Very pleased with the Aura so far. I bought it to replace an old and failing BT Freeview PVR. I like the fact that you can record up to 4 channels at the same time which was a limitation on the old Freeview box. I also like the fact that we can watch recordings on the Aura through our other TV in the house using the wifi media server capability. It is a shame there is no Netflix app available but hopefully Humax can address this in the future. I haven't loaded any extra Apps yet as we tend to view and record mostly terrestrial TV channels and use the already installed BBC iPlayer app.”
“The recorder didn't play back recordings, skipping large chunks of the programme and then going back to the beginning before showing a blank screen. Humax support suggested a factory reset which may have cured the problem, but then the box started showing flashing white bands across the screen which made it impossible to watch. Currently waiting for an exchanged unit”
