“Lack of software updates is a real concern, especially security ones. This product is based on Android 9 with security patches from 2021 !!!
It looks like the product is no longer being maintained from a software point of view.”

“Mostly impressed, but quite a few niggles:
During playback picture goes black for a few seconds a couple of times per day
If a channel started recording during playback, when you end the playback you won't return to the recordings list on the recording that you were playing - this leads to the wrong recording being deleted
Sometimes playback stops unexpectedly and when restarted it is back at the beginning
On other freeview players the channel buttons allow you to jump to sections of the playback eg pressing '6' takes yo to 60% through the recording - the Aura doesn't have this.”
“Installation went well. I am familiar with HUMAX products and think the integration with the Google / Android TV operating system is great. So much quicker to load programs/catch-up services than the previous Freeview box. The only downside is the colour scheme on the TV guide, which uses a bright red background with white text which is virtually unreadable from our sitting position! It would be great if system settings would allow you to change the colour scheme to something accessible!”
