“It's neat and very easy to set up. Lots of apps and all freeview channels but our box has decided not to display all of the 700 number channels, we can select them but they aren't on the guide! I've no idea why but it is very annoying....this is an update. I have to apologise to Humax as I found out it was operator error! Mine! I found out that when it's in guide mode if you press the red button it gives you a choice of which stations you want to see on the guide. So now it's working perfectly but it always was. So I am very happy with it. Thank you and sorry Humax.”
“Had a couple of glitches with the box, lost ITV channels but this may have been a loss of signal as they came back soon. Have found the remote a bit awkward to master, buttons seem close together in places and the wrong button gets pressed and may be the layout could be improved as when deleting a recording you have to go down to the bottom of the remote to press a small red button, this function would have been better grouped with the rest of the playback buttons. Over all I am pleased with the unit, was fairly easy to install and set up, it has recorded everything and the playback and picture quality is very good, only downside is the remote which at time's is a bit cumbersome to use but will probably get used to it.”
“Cancelled my Virgin subscription as I felt we were paying for a lot of rubbish that we never watched. Tried to stick with the streaming services supplied by the main TV channels but found it annoying switching using the built-in Freeview on my TV, also missed the ability to pause live TV. Looked around at various Freeview recorders and the Aura seemed to win out with the reviewers. This is an amazing box of tricks - almost everything we need - no Netflix!!! Ability to add android apps, easy to navigate around and the remote controls my TV too. The TV guide is quick and easy to see, and recording is one touch. Everything my Tivo box did. Its low profile and small footprint mean it is unobtrusive in the living room. Well worth the money in my opinion.”
