“When playing back recordings I was getting screen pixilated.I emailed Humax about this and told me to reset the recorder.I did this but it has not completely erased the problem.”

“Desperately needs an update. Loss of live tv when switching from Amazon Prime to live tv, no picture or sound, have to reboot. No surround sound from optical out, only from HDMI. Empty promises about APP to control from mobile phone. Occasionally reboots itself for no reason. Could be a market leader, but seems to be rushed out for sale for Christmas.”

If you want a truly one-stop shop then not having Netflix and a few other important apps is a show stopper, although the interface and picture quality are decent.
I returned mine, or have tried to, because of this and because of poor customer support. I sent a customer support email on November 7. It was replied to on December 10. They have been smashed and overwhelmed by outages to iPlayer etc. The box was picked up for return on November 24 - it needed a few calls to make this happen - and today I'm still waiting for that to be processed and my money returned. More than three weeks and counting...

“Picture and sound quality are good.
Interface needs tweaking. EPG does not always show when programmes are marked for recording so impossible to know that you have selected it without looking at recording schedule, whereas previous Humax models have always indicated this clearly in the EPG.
Would have been 4 stars but loses another star for no Netflix”
