Humax Aura 4K Android TV Recorder - 1TB Reviews

4.1 Rating 205 Reviews
I bought the Aura to replace my old 2000T recorder which was getting to be unreliable and not always recording, it wouldn't record in HD at all due to lack of signal and severe pixilation. The Aura, so far, has recorded everything I have asked it to and in HD. It was easy to setup and does its job without a problem.

Very happy with my new aura recorder, had an old version human but the aura is superb in every way. Really like the quick channel changing and multi recording options. To many nice features so going to leave it there. Best on market by far

Excellent. Easy to operate, great picture and so useful being able to record four programmes at a time! Good having so many apps available too. Can’t praise it enough.

Great bit of kit, easy to use. Amazon Prime video built in, just a shame you can't get Netflix/BritBox/NowTV apps on it. Hopefully these will be available in the future. Having said that, there are plenty of other streaming apps you can get on it.

This PDR has loads of features, too many to mention here, being Android powered, it will integrate with Google things, can record 4 programmes simultaneously, it is certainly a good product, and, whilst I would recommend it, there were, initially, a few niggles. Now, this is a brand new product from Humax, so, some software issues were to be expected. I tolerated them whilst awaiting an automatic update. None came, so I called Humax customer services, and was answered almost immediately. They sent me a guide on what to do to resolve the niggles, which did involve a factory reset, but it did indeed resolve the niggles.

I recently purchased the Humax Aura to replace my Virgin TV and TiVo service I've had for many years. I was fedup with the money I was paying for the base Virgin TV package, when all I really used it for was recording programs to watch later and skip the adverts! The Humax does a very similar job and has a nicer interface than the Virgin TV service. It doesn't have the capability to record 6 programs but it can do 4 at once, which is enough really! The interfcae is quick and easy to use and there is an app to go with it, so you have more flexibilty with remote access and control. I would recommend the Humax over the Tivo and the money I have saved on cancelling my Virgin TV service will soon pay for the Humax outlay, which I think is good value for money! Swapping over to teh Humax is also just as simple, as all you need to do is plug the HDMI, Ethernet (or configure the WiFi network) cables, redirect your TV antenna via the Humax and plug the power in.....that's it!

Does what it says on the box. Very easy to set-up. Will take a bit of getting used to after our EE box. I find the Aura layout isn't so clear on the screen as the EE unit but it is early days, we will get there.
