“Setup is poor the worst I’ve come across. No guidance, even the telephone guy could not help. He didn’t seem to know what to do. I would give 0 out of 10.
Software is sticky. Sound and vision disappears for anything up 20 mins. The former humax worked fine is this regard. The aerial is nearly new which is digitally matched for free view.
Software operating system is illogical badly designed.
I would send it back if could.”
“Very easy to set up. Apps are really easy to set up. Its worth exploring the coloured buttons they are useful for shortcuts when on the guide . Overall compared to previous boxes this one has plenty of extra features and is worth the extra money.”
“Very pleased with basic live and recording TV, but falls down when it comes to Android apps, which are very limited. Nothing like the whole Play Store range is available, even Google Home is missing.”
“The aura freeview HD recorder box is good. I like it because it has Google apps. The picture quality is good. One time the box lost TV channel the screen said that was no signal. I did a retune and it was fine. You can't get netflix app yet but I don't mind because I have it on TV anyway. The volume control goes to quite to loud in one press that's my only gripe. I like the box so much I bought 2. One for the lounge and one for the kitchen. Brian Russell”
“Changed from Freesat to Freeview and the lip sync is appalling and you can’t get it 100% right. Called your tech support to be told about software update. Let’s hope you’re right”
“A number of glitches - spurious interuptions to both live and recorded programmes.
Potentially a 5 star product. As others have said it needs further development/de-bugging.
Remote control is very irritating as when using Right key (for fast forward) it is very easy to touch Google TV button which then interupts viewing.”
