Wasn't happy to be told by Humax customer service we would have to purchased an aerial booster to receive 90% signal. The programmes from channel 4+ seemed blocky with weak aerial signal...
We decided not to waste anymore money and purely use our Aura box, for recordings only, we use our new tv for freeview, which I must say gives us far more freeview channels than the Aura, due to weak signal, if you don't have freeview tv then you might possibly have to purchase an aerial booster, if you signal is weak”
“This is my second Humax and it does not have the same solid feel or an operating system as good as my previous model. To get 4K resolution it is a menu option not a default, so the the initial recordings were a little disappointing. Guide option is great and setting up a recording is very easy. Represents reasonable value for money and can be used to record from sources such as iPlayer. This integration is a vast improvement over my previous model. All in all a solid player worthy of its 4 star rating. Android OS is clumsy and slow.”

“This is by far much better than the 5000t. The software does everything you would expect and is very responsive and the picture quality is good. My only gripe is the "select recordings" and recording playback control should have been given more prominence on the remote control instead of pidley little buttons that look like an afterthought.”
“I carried out much research on the latest modern pvr and decided to purchase this Humax Aura 4k box.
The box has performed flawlessly during the few weeks since installation. The picture and sound are excellent across all channels and the ability to record four channels simultaneously is really useful and works very well.
I have had a number of Humax boxes in the past and this one appears to be a typically well made and versatile box. The streaming apps work without any problems, of course a good broadband speed is required.
I have no hesitation in recommending this box.”
