“A very good recorder which is easy to set up. Lots of features, just needs a little patience to learn how to use the system, then becomes quite simple.”

“It vastly improved signal to watch, but my wrong-way-pointing aerial gets a weak signal so recordings sometimes still fail. Not Humax's fault. I'll be sorting the aerial soon. Can't get Wlan to connect but I don't want to use a password. No choice? Please tell me what the 'Back Button' is that is used to save a chosen password. I can't find a 'Back Button' anywhere. I'll use the 0344 number to phone for help, soon. Lovely machine otherwise with 4 recordings at once plus a watch option. Better than previous Humax. Might get another one soon. When Wlan and our aerial is sorted, I'll give it 5 stars.”
“This is the third Humax I have purchased! This latest one the FVP-5000T 2TB is very good for recording but the user interface for almost all actions is nowhere as good or simple as its predecessor. The user manual is very sketchy and lacks basic simple instructions, even the online version. If I was not experienced in Humax systems I would find this one difficult to operate. I also wanted to use the old and new one at the same time but the remote controls operate both the old and new system at the same time. Surely there are enough frequency variations to allow individual remotes for different model.
Having said all of that I am still relatively happy with the performance, especially the picture reproduction.”
