Setup easy. Finding the recording and viewing not as good as previous versions , it is very slow and cannot find recordings and play them quickly as previous versions, although you can access more things on this version. Do not think it is worth the extra money to do this, as for being able to record quite a few things at the same time is rubbish, I tried to record two recordings on Christmas day as we were out and it would not do them, I had to watch Call the Midwife on Catchup tv I have let my husband have my older version and he his very happy with this. This version does not really do what it says.

The box is ok, but customer service does not exist despite being promised a response to our query after 24-48 hours. Ten days have now passed without assistance. Therefore we can not recommend this product as the box is not as described.

I like this machine more than my previous Humax (9300T). The 2tb drive and the 3 tuners are very useful and were the reasons I bought this model. However, I liked the facility to skip forward a minute at a time on the 9300T which I can't find on the 5000T. Also, I find the channel guide and recordings list less easy to navigate on the 5000T. Overall though, this is a sophisticated machine with fantastic storage.

Easy to use like the ability to record several programs at the same time. My old Sony unit only recorded one

Generally very good at recording. Is slow changing between channels (why?). Wi-Fi networking seems a bit flaky; network is up, hub and analysid tools can see the box but the box thinks its not on the network. This screws up Freeview catchup - when eventually the box thinks irs on the network it's lost its ability to refresh the catchup screen, apps and catchup schedules. Indicator lights not helpful - it's difficult to tell if recordings are happening by light colour - everything appears to be blue!

I have used Humax PVR's for many years and have come to expect good quality and ease of use. This product doesn't disappoint and it has many additional features as well. Being able to record 4 programs simultaneously is a big plus. It also has other features included which has enabled me to discontinue a separate streaming player as this box also plays videos etc. from my network hard drive. My only disappointment is the loss of some features available on earlier players. These include: 1)EASY method for skipping over adverts and skipping back when watching recordings, 2)After pausing live TV, not being able to skip forward/backwards (but can fast-forward/backwards)

Pretty happy with most things - occasional probs with software (sometimes shows volume screen without moving cursor, but still works). Missing slow motion for sport - unless I don't know how to access it. Sometimes buffering issues on catch-up, despite 14 meg BBand speed. However it is wi-fi connected not hard wired. Love all the wi-fi access. Great to have fewer recording clashes and 2TB storage. The physical build quality doesn't seem quite as good as my HDR Fox T2 but I guess price is always the dominant concern.
