Freeview Play Recorder FVP-5000T 500GB (Refurbished) Reviews

4.2 Rating 452 Reviews
The range of frequencies has large gaps in daytime, other receivers using the same antenna give better coverage. Does the refurbed machine require antenna upgrade? Roger

I bought this refurbished unit to replace my previous Humax which did sterling service for many years. I'm still getting used to the new Humax but so far, so good. The new unit arrived promptly, was easy to install and, most importantly, is doing what it is supposed to do ... all at a good price too. I'm pleased.

Turned up on time looks like brand-new the only thing with this machine is it is very very slow you do have to wait after pressing one of the buttons otherwise you press it again thinking nothing is going to happen and lo and behold you don’t know where you’ve gone to that is my only problem with this machine apart from that everything works

Why send a review when Humax do not respond or a software update to address the historic comments. Out of the box the machine is perfect, it’s the interface that is so poor. What went wrong? The 10-year old trusted PVR FOX T2 interface was so much better. Just one button to skip adverts, programme information, etc and operation of the Fox is much faster. So if you want a clunky slow machine, then this new model is for you.

Fantastic gadget provided in the same state as I would expect from non-refurbished retailer stock.

Having previously had. YouView box we are used to these things. Freeview Play is a small advance but the box is slower to startup. Other than that all is fine.
