“Overall we are very pleased after moving from Virgin. Our issues are really little frustrations such as:
1. Couldn't change broadband without resetting Humax box and starting a new set up
2. ITVX logo displayed but not available
Still getting to know Freview Play and Humax box but must give top points to customer support who quickly helped with an issue we had with the epg.”
“Arrived quickly but has been problematical from within 3 days of receiving it. Have been on Humax forum, have moved it, moved cables etc but still have issues. Need to contact Humax asap as my wife is disappointed to keep loosing recordings.”
“`In short. had a poor experience dealing direct with Humax. Originally bought an Aura 4k box but the perforance was poor (keep losing connection to the remote & occasionally switching off) returned this, took 4 weeks to get a refund, then thought would try the FVB-500t
initially ok, but switching between menus & changing channels is painfully slow as is attempting to open various apps. Netflix etc can take an eternity to get going.
Would I recommend...No, get one from BT or elsewhere, avoid Humax, Honestly, they're just not very good & I regret getting a box from them”
“I bought this product in order that I could pause live TV & record programmes for later viewing.
Unfortunately, the product regularly loses signal & as a result, I have to move the aerial directly into the back of the TV to continue viewing my programmes which play perfectly with no issues. The trouble with that, of course, is I then cannot record or pause programmes.
If the box worked properly, it would be gone, but as it doesn't, I cannot use it with confidence and only award it 2 stars.”
“My old 9300T was a good machine, but it got old and worn out. My new 5000t I have yet to master, It works well, but we are old now and learning new things is not so easy, understanding which HDMI port is which appliance, which remote is which, well one day you will all be old, and life is hard.”
