“I have had an older model (Fox2) for quite some time but wanted to upgrade. Well the first one wouldn't record so had to go back. The replacement works perfectly. However there are one or two points where I actually prefer the older model. On the FVP-5000T the light is underneath and cannot be seen. On the older one the front ring lit up blue when on and red when recording. The new one you cannot see the re-assuring light colour. I also preferred the guide function and info button on the Fox. However the FVP is more compact, can record 4 programmes at once (although I haven't tried that yet) and gives a better picture quality to the tv, even not on HD. I do rather wish it would stop the flash "Ok for HD" so regularly. I I wanted to watch HD I would select it.

“A fantastic product for the money. Every I Player including More 4. Scroll back catchup the works. Initialises much quicker than Freesat box, records 3 progs while watching one all off one antenna connection. Can't really fault it. Remote is excellent, did interfere with Freesat box, Humax, but support td me how to re code it.
Only thing a bit annoying is part of screen being grayed out when muting, around mute symbol.
I bought this mainly for Ch4 and 4 OD which were taken off Freesat a couple of years ago. However this box is so good I now use it all the time.”
