“I guess it depends on what you would like from a Freeview box. Personally, I don't rate this product very well and compared to my old HDR-2000T 500GB I much prefer the 2000T by a long stretch. The on demand I guess is an added bonus although it is slow to load and the programmes not updated often. It's just the navigation, slow TV guide and lack of programme information that makes this product less appealing. The 2000T was quick to navigate, one button to bring up the programme text / info. If Humax could merge the two products together, then this would be a winner.”
“It took a while longer to set up as at first as it wouldnt save the auto search channels until it decided it needed an software update which it was looking for and was jitterey and slow. i would have expected it to have came with this as it was refurbished recently i suspect..The remote is quite clunky and needs a hard press at times to change channels or settings, then other times it is over sensitive. You also need to be within about three metres for it to recognise the remotes request. The strong point is the amount of channels you can record and watch at the same time - record 4 and watch one of them whilst its recording.”
“Had a refurbished humax for 12 years and is still working, this one is much better great update, can record more channels at one time would definitely recommend this item.”
“not bad. I have 3 recorders one is a Manhattan, and several Humax over the years. They always have a tendency to freeze . and need to be turned off/on . But better usabllity
than the Manhattan.”
