“Nice unit with all the qualities you'd expect from Humax. Only complaint is that the TV guide is much less usable than the old box. The old one came up quickly and stayed up to date and was easy to scroll up and down the channels, the new one takes time to come up and you cannot scroll as easily as the old version, it loads as you go. A pity. Now using both boxes - old one to find programs and the new one to record.”
“The performance is unquestionably good in terms of picture quality. I find the system of selecting recordings for playback a bit unwieldy and counter intuitive sometimes. The wife really struggles with it. I really miss the ability to 'skip' forwards or backwards by a set time, say 1 or 2 minutes, and slow motion that was there on previous models. (Unless I haven't found out how to achieve it yet) Otherwise, a brilliant machine. Oh oh, I spoke too soon. It didn't last 5 weeks. No playback, and unable to receive a signal. Worse still, customer services kept fobbing me off and wouldn't replace it or refund the money. I've had to buy a replacement of a different make.”

Easy to set up and works fine. This is my second Humax box as my old FVP-4000T suddenly died on me after four years. I hope this upgraded version lasts a bit longer!”
