“I've had Humax boxes for a number of years as they were the best on the market. Then we had a Virgin Tivo box so didn't need a set top box. Then we got rid of the Virgin box and I thought I'll get a Humax as they have always been good. The product is very disappointing. It's slow to start up and you're never quite sure if it has started as there is no indicator light on the front. Then when it does start it is slow in general. The TV guide is not easy to navigate. You can't simply scroll through a day at a time. You have to press the + symbol and select the day you want to go to. Also the play back of recordings isn't the best. If you have a series recorded it displays a description of an episode but it's not necessarily the episode it has highlighted. It's only when you select the episode you then get the correct description. Overall disappointing compared to what they used to be.”
“It works as expected. The HDD is making a bit of a whirring noise so it may not last very long. The old 1TB HDD from the previous unit that died is now in use as a backup on my Windows PC!!”
