“We did a lot of research to find an alternative to pay to view tv, this Humax freeview recorder turned out to be one of the best things we have purchased in a long time. It arrived promptly, securely packaged and complete with all the leads we needed to set it up, including one to connect the aerial from the box to the tv which is a bonus. It took about 20 minutes to set it up including connecting to our wi-fi and even getting an immediate update. It has worked brilliantly ever since, the ease of use is a great and the ability to record several programs at once easily replaces the Virgin Tivo box. We have not experienced any dropping out on the wi-fi but we do have 100mps speed on our internet which probably makes a difference. The Freeview button is a charm, the ability to get access to Netflix and YouTube etc. within seconds is a great service and so far we are more than happy with the system and would highly recommend it.”

“This is a fantastic recording machine. The set up guide was simple and easy to understand, and even easier to carry out upon initial set-up. Was a little confusing at the beginning to figure out how to do things (with so many differing ways to get to the same point), but soon becomes second nature. Only downside can be with the spacing of some of the buttons on the remote control, as it can be easy to accidentally press the wrong one. But this is a very small grumble for what is an excellent product.”
“One critical point I don't like ,it has no on and off light and recording light. These are pretty essential and on most boxes and TV's. Other than that all works fine.”
