“Mostly impressed but it’s a shame that when you want to view programme info you have to come out of the “what’s on” screen read it then go back.
Would be much better if you could put the program info at the bottom of the screen. There’s plenty of space.
Unit also quite noisy and slow at starting up.
Features are good however.”
“I purchased a FVP-5000T as a replacement for my Previous Humax FoxT2(?) which failed after 7 years.
Set up was easy with the information supplied.
Its operation is totally different to my previous Humax.
It took me a while to find out how it was operated but with internet forum help I have mastered it.
I think its operation is very very poor compared to previous Humax PVR's. I have owned.
It is slow and not as user friendly.as my previous Fox box.
The guy who designed it should sit down with a working FoxT2 model and use it,he would find out how bad this 5000T is to operate. It takes 2 or even 3 pressing of buttons to make it do what you require. My mind goes back to the first video tape recorder which was here 30 years ago.
Having said that, the 5000T does record programmes, with a really good picture, that part I am really pleased with, but its operation and the handbook leave a lot to be desired.”
“Great for recording multiple programs. Youtube buffers sometimes when playing (the TV built in app doesn't so not a connection issue. Other than that, it's brilliant”
“This is a very good box. However, there are some teething problems. There is a delay when trying to fast forward - the speed does not increase with every press.
Occasionally, the box switches itself off.
Overall, though, it is very good.”
“Fabulous. It is doing everything that is stated in description.
So easy to set up.
The Remote takes a little time to get use too, i recommend you read the instruction/function guide 1st.
Such a dainty little box compared to other older humax boxes.”
“Very Poor Viewing, Can not Read the on Screen Programs, Poor Reception does not work very well cuts the recordings at the slitish bad reception. No problems using old products using a Saterlight Dish.”
