“I bought this box as an upgrade to the Humax DTR-T1000 that I'd been using for several years and is now very slow and frustrating to use. The FVP-5000T is still slow to respond, you have a noticeable wait after pressing a button on the remote and the box doing anything. The hard drive is noisy (not a problem on the old T1000), the light on the front is set so low, only by looking at its reflection in the blu-ray player underneath can I see whether it's on or off. The remote is missing a few convenient buttons that were on the T1000's remote such as skip back/forward . The user interface is a little ugly but I'll get used to it. The Netflix app quite often doesn't work so I have to switch to the app on the Amazon Fire stick. Overall a disappointing purchase and I wouldn't buy another Humax product.”
“It showed a fault when I 1st set it up on calling you help line they said it was my tv ....not a very helpful helpline....it turned out to be the HDMI cable you sent was faulty...I do not have faith with your help line to ask for a replacement not very good at all”
“Much faster than my old 2000 series recorder which after many updates became so slow that it was unusable. The 5000 selection of players and the playback of own recording is very intuitive to operate, the only problem I've come across is that sometimes it splits a long recording up into two sections and there is little indication before selecting a recording for playback the correct order the recordings should be viewed.”
