This is my third Humax box and I am very disappointed to say the least. It is not a patch on the previous two. The menu and guide are slow, clunky and not intuitive. When scrolling through the TV guide there is an irritating delay when moving on to the next page ie, it is VERY slow. There is no information button on this handset so you have to click on the programme you are interested in as if you are going to record it in order to get the info. Very frustrating. Sometimes you are told that a recording has failed when it hasn't. The search function doesn’t allow you to list the programmes in alphabetical order. The recordings screen is not at all user friendly. You really have to search to find your recording in the file list and the system always offers you the latest recording, not the first in a series. I doubt I will purchase this brand again.

Had a talk talk box before purchasing my new Humax box, reading the sales pitches for this product was that I could down load the Humax app and record programs from my iPhone like I could with my old talktalk box but no, I phoned your technical team (who were not very interested)about this problem and was informed it was a technical problem which you had no idea when it would be resolved. I really don’t think you should advertise this function as a selling point if you have no idea when it available, I would be grateful for your comments? Ken Hastings (Mr)

Originally we purchased this unit via Amazon/ ASKE. The unit was faulty as the picture and sound on direct signal or record would freeze intermittently. We sent the unit back and asked for a refund. The refund was paid. We thought it would be better to buy a unit directly from Humax via Humax Direct Ltd. which we did. This second unit had exactly the same fault. When we contacted Humax we were subjected to a very patronizing attitude from a man with an Irish accent. We decided to return this second unit also and ask for a refund. To date we have not received the refund and now Humax Direct are in violation of the law regarding a refund within 14 days. The unit was purchased via a Lloyds Bank Mastercard credit card and now a dispute notification has been raised with Lloyds. We think they would probably black list Humax Direct if this refund is not paid immediately. We are now waiting for our refund from Humax Direct or Lloyds Bank. We think Humax would be foolish not to settle this matter rather than let it progress to as black listing or possible County Court action failing a refund to us.
