“The recorder works very well now, however the remote control was faulty, resulting in contacting the support team for a replacement remote handset, which was received about four days after the initial problem was found. Annoying to have to contact support on a new purchase, we were a bit nervous when getting the recorder, the box looked as though it had been around for a while.”
“We have just moved house and had to buy a free view box we had a had a free sat box in the other house but her there's dish we love the free sat box but the free view box is not a patch on the free sat box the controller looks cheap and the graphics on the screen terrible I like the fact that you can record more channels but with catch up do you need this I love Humax but with this, if it's not broken don't fix it. We are getting a dish fitted. Sorry for a bad review.”
“For most people this will be a great device but for me it has a few limitations. This replaced a Fox T2 which bit the dust after many years of good service and I miss many of the features that machine had. If I had recorded 30 episodes of a series during the summer so that I could watch them in the winter then on the old machine I could get straight to the oldest episode. On the new one I have to scroll back through 29 episodes to get to the one I want. On the old machine I could also group recordings of a similar type in one folder to make scanning the recordings easier. Not on the new one.
However, I can now record 3 programmes at the same time, sometimes 4, which deals with the problem of having nothing worth watching for many nights then on one night there are three things to record at the same time.
The recording quality is good so overall I am happy with the machine's performance - I just miss the features that have been removed.”
“Product not too bad, Live TV App for android phone is absolute rubbish. Can not set to record remotely, and am not the only one to say this. previous Freeview app was much better. Overall very disappointed. Will not be looking at Humax products in the future.”
