“Nice small box with a host of features many of which I doubt I'll use.
I replaced my old Humax HDR FOX T2 because I could not identify the reason for worsening pixilation on our TV.
The new unit appears to have all but sorted the problem out.
I thought that I had bought the all-singing and dancing version but, my mistake, I bought Humax FVP-5000T Freeview Play Recorder-1TB to find out that I cannot access the likes of Amazon Prime etc. as the box is very Netflix based and I do not use Netflix. (Easy for me to get wrong as I am old and not techie).
I do miss the simplicity of the old unit and miss some features such as the "jump forward" button and now have to watch more carefully as I fast forward through advertisements.
I find the added graphics on the guide to be unnecessary and distracting.
I haven't learned to edit the channels or know if this is actually a feature. I hope it is because I am fed up with the guide showing a multitude of channels that I will never view.
All in all the Humax FVP-5000T Freeview Play Recorder-1TB has done what we wanted most and that is to get rid of the pixilation but I must say that all the graphics are over the top and I now have to resort to changing onto our TV channel to get to our Amazon Prime etc..”

“Despite only using this excellent stb for a few days (delay in getting an aerial supply fitted) my wife and I are very happy indeed with its range of services, usability and quality of performance. We have it connected by cable to a "3" wireless internet server and it has already proven to be a much more robust set up than Virgin Media's cable service and stb.
