Humax FVP-5000T Freeview Play Recorder-1TB Reviews

I'm enjoying my new Humax box especially the ability to record multipole channels. The controller is great with easy access to different content providers but there seems to be a delay while you wait for the box to catch up... This is slower than other boxes I've had and you end ups going past the channel or programme you want. I've learnt to be patient but it is frustrating!!!

Hi Very disappointed I can’t record programmes from my smart phone away from home. It was possible from my old youview box. David

An excellent piece of kit. Slight glitch at the start when there was an issue with the BBC i-player not loading. BBC and Humax were aware of the problem and a fix was sent within a few days. Humax customer service responded well. Each Humax I buy is a big improvement on the previous version so good all round.

We bought this to replace our elderly HDR-FOX T2 which has given wonderful service over the years. This new model is excellent in every way and at a reasonable price. The only slight drawback for some people is that it is completely different from the older model and so takes a little time to become familiar with it.

Not as good or easy to use as my old freesat humax recorder. Far too complex and I get some failed recordings and others badly pixelated on certain channels ie Drama so a little disappointed

I bought this to replace my Humax 1800t which was very good apart from subtitles continually going out of sync and no built in catch up. The Humax 5000T solves both these problems but it not nearly as quick as the 1800t when operating the remote control and also does not have a dictated info or skip buttons on the remote which means you cannot get information on the recorded program you are watching unless I'm missing something.

My first Humax experience. Previously used Youview for many years. It is early days but so far I am very impressed. It appears to be faster in every way and to date I am unable to find any negative issues with the product.
